If the reporter had taken his time, he still would have had a story irrespective of the facts.

This man can't even express himself. Fromm a toilet paper that never sold 10 copies a day, this man is made a manager? Mother Ghana is weeping!!!

Secondly, this guy knows not what he is talking about. Just jumping from radio station to station making unbearable noise.

Ogbamey,tell Ghanaians and yourself whether those criminals you are serving now- did travel on first class or not? How much did it cost individually? Period.

Of course staff of any company travel on a daily basis and nobody has qualms about that. What the paper highlighted was the wanton disregard of the state of the economy and the fact that your company is as yet producing nothing. If Kwesi Botchey or whoever now feel that are rich enough not fly economy and business class they can buy their own tickets.

So let me help you- issue a rejoinder and have all the facts published and don't try to throw dust in our eyes.

First of all, it appears that this Ogbamey guy did not deny that Ghana Gas spent approximately $150,000 on only plane tickets for 6 officials to attend various meetings over the past few months.

Being what it is, this is way way too much for me.

This is happening in a country where even in the capital city of Accra, common water and electricity are being rationed causing many businesses to collapse. Common malaria is still killing innocent children and nursing mothers continue to sleep on hospital floors with their new-born babies.

I really cannot believe that in this day and age where the national economy has virtually collapsed due to such profligate spending, these Ghana Gas people could not find much cheaper options to exchange their views and opinions with their Chinese business counter-parts. Other options like secure internet communication, multiparty video-conferencing, multiparty telephone communication and at the very least correspondence by good ol' letters via express couriers could have been considered. Any of these other options could have saved this country a minimum of at least $145,000. That amount can considerably help to improve the water or electricity situation or even save a few unfortunate lives in our hospitals.

It is really sickening, to say the least.

Worse of all is the consideration of the fact that Ghana Gas has not even started production yet. Only God knows how much they will then spend on traveling when they do start production.

It increasingly seems to me that Ghanaians only go to school to become daft and stupid. I really cant find any other explanation for the senseless destruction of the state apparatus that is going on all around us.

for the best part of of the dismal 19 years tragedy of the (P)NDC rule, this same Dr Kwesi Botchway guy, took us on a wild goose chase as the Finance Minister of Ghana and eventually landed us in a ditch without an apology. After all this, people still have cause and reason to make him a Board Chairman of a major strategic state organization? But what at all is wrong with Ghanaians?

As for Ogbamey I dont think people should blame or accuse him of anything because he is being paid to protect the public image of his employers. He is simply doing what he is paid to do. It would amount to sheer folly for a PR manager anywhere to come out and expose the incompetence and corrupt practices of his employers.
