We see in Iraq/Syria the announce of the Islamic caliphate state and their map which now includes Ghana and the whole of West Africa .Most people are ignorant of the fact that unlike in Christianity and other religions whereby the leaders or priests are men of peace in Islam their imams or priests advocate for war and destruction of the non believers and when war starts every single one of them assumes the title emir and becomes the captain of a murderous horde as we saw in Libya and with the boko haram. The mosque is not only a place of worship but an army fortress or barracks and that is why they must in the design in every area which is not predominately Muslim its required to have a tall reconnaissance tower. we see in Accra and other places these mosques spring up all over the place at militarily very strategic positions but we are vigilant and when our bloody revolution starts we will raze all these structures to the ground and drive out this menace from our midst . I am sorry that a piece of this kind is allowed on Ghanaweb which is a forum that commands a lot of respect amongst its world-wide readers. Please this kind of piece must be taken off this forum to send a clear message to all that this is a place for the enlightened and civilise readers and contributors. Who in this day and age wants a country based on tribe, race or religion? Yet this author of this piece that is very discredited both in content and sobriety keeps posting it everywhere and under any news item whethern it is related or not. I know he is playing politics for the party he supports in Ghana but this is the wrong way. You do not work for the victory of your party at any cost i.e. at the expense of an entire country. It is not right! Parties in Ghana a modern state, were not and are not formed based on tribes/religion or race. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of blessed memory had passed a bill in the Legislative Assembly back in 1951 when he was elected leader of Government business against parties that were formed based on tribes and religion and it received the overwhelming endorsement of the house and therefore came into force as law. Why advocate for this bankrupt and backward idea 63 years after? Pl you are sitting in your UK/USA and you do not care for your countrymen who have stayed to work to keep the country so that there can still be a contry called Ghana. As you are out there if your fellow white citizen of the country you have adopted as your own now and dropped your Ghanaian citizenship discriminates against because you are black or African how will you take it? Please look at countries like Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Central African Republic, Rwanda, La Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria (Boko Haram), Kenya and Somalia. It takes some instance of disagreement for anyone to change course in Political alignments. There is no need to attack Mr. Pratt on this issue. Would the NPP-USA claim that the asylum seekers had any real good reason to request that asylum?

Running away from Economic hardships is one thing. Claiming some grave immediate danger to one's life for a reason to seek asylum is another.

I strongly believe the NPP-USA has always loathed Mr. Pratt, possibly, first, for the latter's CPP background, and secondly, the fact he maintained some sympathies for the NDC Party.

Would the NPP-USA say similar things to describe anyone who voted for NDC and hoped that Mahama would deliver? Besides, it often takes more than one instance of ineptitude by one's political favorites to pull the rug from under them. So, if it is now that Pratt might have realized his idol President has failed, he should not be vilified for pulling back his support from the President, now.

Surely, if Pratt wants his views to matter much, he ought to be bold enough to point out the shortfalls of the President and his Administration, just as he might want to denounce the Opposition on any negative contribution to our Political discourse.

We must submit our objective opinions when they matter most. The NPP should not make enemies of those who voted against it, or frequently oppose its views. It may well be the votes of those folks in future elections that would lift it out of the losing pit.

Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Ansah. But believe it or not, I have produced my share of quite some unwholesome narratives, (i.e., with some lexical and grammatical mistakes, I mean) here, before, much to my own later shock.

I used to rush quite a bit in sending up my pieces without proofreading them, and then, later find them to be embarrassingly full of grammatical errors. I was quite recently caught by Dr. SAS, a prominent contributor to this forum, for using the wrong choice of two similar-sounding words for a particular context. In fact, if I had proofread my piece I might have found the error to correct it but I did not.

It was a common lexical error with a set of words, I believe, most of us did encounter in Secondary School English Classes. So, I knew the difference between their usage. But for some reason I fell in the trap of misusing it. I, was, however, grateful that the Dr. pointed it out to me very kindly.

I just try to write as well I as I can under the circumstance, always thinking about making it easy enough for the reader to understand my point. I still remain a humble student of the English language, and I am receptive to lessons from others like you.

I would also like to assure you that I share your prayer that we find selfless leaders with enough empathy to help our folks and Nation shed the robes of poverty for good.

If you were old enough during the period of the National Reconciliation you would have heard and known the true Kwesi Pratt you seem to be praising. Ask about his machinations against his bosom friend, Kweku Baako, to the extent that he got into cahoots with the powers that be at the time to eliminate his supposed bosom friend.
Pratt claims to be a CPPist but always talks in defense of the NDC on Radio and TV.If indeed he were truthful and not stomach politician as the writer has aptly said, one would have expected him over the years to have been going round the country over these years to propagate the ideals of CPP that he claims to believe in, in the bid to restructure it; but what do we see? It is always lambasting Kuffour and the NPP where even the true and honest NDC members give credit where it is due.
