Let me educate you. its 3.785 liters so the the price per liter in the US is $1.08/liter. Today in Ghana it is 3.36cedis/liter which is $1.03/liter
So the price is comparable to what you are paying in a country where the standard of living is nothing compared to the US

The world price of oil is on upward movement so, automatically, the price petrol will rise.

Some of our politicians are just fools. They just run to radio stations and cause panic in order to polute minds of the populace because they are fighting the government to gain power. To fix our ailing economy, some drastic measured had to be taken, and I think is the only way forward. A liter price of petrol in the UK is currently between £1.27-£1.31. (exchange rate is GHC5.16 to £1.00) The rate of GHC3.23 per liter in Ghana in my opinion is resonable. This so called Tarzan is simply block headed.

3.36 cedis a liter translates to 15.12 cedis a gallon. (4.5 liters = 1 UK gallon)That is 5.04 dollars a gallon in Ghana compared to 3.79 here

If you want to compare more accurately use the US gallon which is 3.79 liters.

BTW: Fuel price in U.K is 1.32# per liter. 1.0# = 5.66ghc. Now you do the math and figure out who pays more.
