I share your frustration. But I disagree with you that Ghanaians voted foolishly to put NDC in power. Ghanaians did not vote for NDC, rather NDC calculatively stole the election.
The Supreme Court of Ghana sat on the petition brought forth by Akuffo Addo and Co. and evidence that emerged after proves that the Supreme Court of Ghana voted individually by majority in favor of NPP. But, again Agariga who led the Supreme Court came out and misread the verdict in favor of NDC. It has been proven after the fact as true.

Any intelligent Ghanaian should go back to the history of Ghana. Any Ghanaian who cannot figure this out is politically blind, dumb, unintelligent and or tribalistic. When NDC is in political power, the economy suffers that translates to hardship to the general masses. It was same story during Rawlings tenure, Atta Mills tenure and Mahama. What else is new if you are politically intelligent? NDC is no brainer. Period. How loud should I say this?
I have written many time that, all political parties in Ghana are corrupt and greedy. Former President Kuffuor had something to do with corruption under his guard and greediness which he was involved. But. But, I repeat but, NPP had the wits to manage the economy and promoted Ghana into International stardom. The IMF and World Bank nicknamed Ghana as the Gateway of Africa during NPP tenure. Has any Politically intelligent Ghanaian heard those words from IMF or World bank in the past five years? NDC are bunch of incompetent individuals. Who is the founder and what is his political intelligent level? Intelligent individuals will have the answer correct. Very simple what is the economical situation in Ghana today? You got your answer right there.

The Article conceded a basic fact: the demonstration will be in Washington, DC, yet those on the frontline in Ghana are NOT demonstrating or asking Ghanaians elsewhere to demostrate in their behalf.

The So-called Hardship, if it is affecting Ghanaians abroad at all, will be the subsidizing role they play in helping those at home.

But is that enough reason to pre-empt the prerogatives of those facing the Economic Hardhip?

Kwasi Asante, your take on what ails the Ghanaian economy smacks of jingoism and hyper-ventilated partisanship....you know damn well that an economy that has enjoyed a long period of boom and prosperity is bound at one stage to suffer a collapse, a downturn that can last for a decade or more. That is a truism. History, after all, is replete with strong economies imploding after long periods of growth. Ghana is no exception.

Of course, much as the Mahama administration is culpable for the sad state of the national economy, one has to be cognizant of the fact that the precipitous nose dive of the economy has its genesis in the last years of the Kuffour regime.

Economies don't just tank overnight...it takes the culmination of factors to bring an economy to its knees.

And you will agree with me that the corruption that was so pervasive in the NPP era can be pointed to as the driving force behind what we are experiencing now.

The last time I checked, about 99.9% Ewes voted for NDC, but the same cannot be said about Asanti/Akyem as per NPP. Assuming we went by the way of "tribal" and 99.9% Akans voted for for NPP would NDC be in power to mess the economy up?

NPP has not shown any "Asanti/Akyem oriented foolishness" as you put it. It's NDC that wants to brand it as such. If NPP was known for "...corruption", it was also known for making great economic leap: single digit inflation, Stable economy, National Health Care Insurance, Youth Employment program, School Feeding Scheme...etc. If NDC is not corrupt and INCOMPETENT what explanation does it have to jusify the collapse of those noble programs and the economy alltogether, when even oil exports have now kicked in as an extra boost, unlike Kufour's time?

It shouldn't be only "Asanti/Akyem" party that should manage the economy better: "Ewe/Gonja" party should exhit patriotism and learn to be prudent with Ghana's resources too. Every country, goes through recession after every prolonged boom. The US recently went through a severe one when Obama took over that saw many Americans lost their jobs and homes.

Ghana would have recovered by now if not NPP's frivolous Supreme Court case that held the country hostage for eight good months. This happened at a very critical stage when the country was just recovering from recession. NPP's action was like cutting off medication from a very sick person and expecting his recovery.

The NPP should be blamed for holding the country hostage for 8 months.

Most of us own properties, businesses, pay taxes in Ghana and are heavily impacted by the depreciating Ghana Cedi.

Ghanaians all over the world felt the shame, when the world ridiculed Ghana concerning the $3Million saga in Brazil.

Our relatives and friends are currently stuck in Brazil in a desperate bid to seek asylum. Most of us outside Ghana know all too well the shame and humiliation that some have to go through in seeking residency in a foreign Country.

NDC came to destroy all the good programs instituted by NPP including NHIS, GETFUND, School Feeding Program, Metro Mass and Free Maternal Care for pregnant women. NDC has destroyed all of these programs. And last but not the least, NDC came with the intention to steal huge sums of money by paying gargantuan judgment debts

Anyone who has studied American history can tell that protesting and taking a stand for something you believe in has made significant impacts in the shaping of this country. I don't know that this march will have any results but I do know that hiding behind a screen and bashing someone's effort while not bringing out notable ideas will not help this country that we want to proudly call home. THEY WENT ON ALL THE TIME AND NO ONE COMPLAINED. NOW THAT GHANAIANS ARE REALLY SUFFERING AND ARE VENTING THEIR ANGER AND FRUSTRATIONS IN DEMONSTRATIONS, NDC MEMBERS ARE ANGRY. WHY????????? NPP did the same thing in London and it affected so Ghanaian there who don't have residents permit.Now British embassy has came up with some difficult requirement before applying for British visiting visa.we are just washing our dirty clothes to the world to mock at us.Go to Ghana and demonstrate. A lot of Ghanaian in USA are very talented and smart but because of Green card they have to do any kind of Job to make ends means.Some of this guys who claims the wanted to demonstrate are either lottery guys or those whom their parents had filled for them or the married a man or woman who had won a lottery.
