The English Premier league is globally the best filled with talented players drawn world-wide. Yet the most highly touted English players rank from incompetent to mediocre on the international scale. When has England produced a Pele, Di Stefano, Eusebio, Maradona, Beckenbauer, Ronaldo, Messi, or even a Suarez etc. The group stages in the World Cup is England's only hope forever more.

Apparently you've forgotten 1966-England has a WC in the bank. Ever heard of Peter Shilton, Gordon Banks etc.? I guess not!! WC-less Eusebio and Portugal are yet to be an England "Co-equal"!!!!
