  It depends on what the efforts are that government is stepping up. If those efforts will not achieve the results you require, then stepping it up escalates what is already useless and erroneous.

  There are many fields where Ghana lacks the needed expertise. To solve this problem the government of Ghana has over the decades made scholarships available for the needed human resource to be trained abroad. In some cases so many people were sent and not even one returned. If you know you are not prepared to work and live in Ghana and would therefore not return do not take the scholarships.
  
  The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.
  
  Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.
  
  Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.
  
  Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

A lot of people complete university but a lot of them want to be in the office no one want to work in the field we have a lot of people who completed university of technology Kumasi but how many of them can produce sometime to the whole world.

  He knows some people will start jubilating at the sight of the headline, without knowing what he is talking about.
  The BSP can only distribute what is coming in, it does not generate energy, so it is no improvement to distribute 380MW of "Lights Off", or "DUMSOR", as is known to everybody

  Please let us all support the president in power instead of criticizing him with everything he does there is no good president in the whole Africa anyway so why are we pointing figure.
  If someone is promoted or elected as president it’s our duties to support that government don’t try to pull him down. Sometimes we the black people we have issues which we need to address this is a major issued we have in our continent.
  If you are a citizen read this and asks yourself a question and if you fall in to one of this category please change and stop pointing figure.
  
  We are all citizen of this nation right.
  1 what are we doing as an individual to help our nation?
  2 there is a lot of people who are not in Government yet there are making millions of Ghana cedi a day and they don’t care about the poor man on the street and the same people will blame the person in power. Let me give you an example two week ago I asked a family member to buy me a cement which he told me is 32.00 GHC within 5 days it has gone up to 35.00 because of the increase in petroleum prices even though the shop owner hasn’t buy any new goods yet but because she was told the price has gone up so she also increase it first of all who gave her the order to increase by 3.00?
  3 Sometime in our country when individual knows that the price of fuel will go up they will hoard their goods and sale it later for higher price why?
  4 Now if the government announce that there will be a control price this same people will say this president should go please think you can also make a change.

  We are being lied to by these people in government. Their excuses sometimes make them sound not only incompetent or ignorant of their duties, but really stupid. Just because they are trying to avoid honesty.
  
  To your questions:
  1) We need nurses in Ghana. When Nurses have been trained, and they've passed their exams, Why do they have to pay a bribe of GHc 100 "to be used to work out their salary".
  When I refused to support corruption in Ghana, this is what my child wrote:
  
  "Oh daa is true in Ghana we need to pay money at everywhere ooo Daa"
  
  2) There is a lot of Civil Servants demanding bribes before they do the work they are being paid for. Have you ever needed some Documents to be signed and stamped?
  Have you ever sent anything (even personal belongings?) through the Tema Harbour before?
  
  3) It is not illegal to sell your goods when you choose to
  4) You buy a used vehicle for 2000 dollars, ship it for 1500 dollars, pay duties worth over 2000 dollars. If any government demands you sell the vehicle at a 'control price' of 2500 dollars, you should hit the streets, and demand that the government should go

Mr Don Blunt...u need to think again and realize that over burden on government is from civil servants who demand more for nothing. Majority of Gvmt monies goes to pay these ppl. So forget about gvmt for 1 sec and think about how u can do well to help!! Only Poor and Uneducated ppl think Government is their only solution. Yes I said it. And if you're abroad. Look at your friends on welfare.

  Pe expects from private individuals some effort to help Ghana? But I do not know why I should support such a corrupt system. Sorry, I REFUSE!! Is a government that leaves room for corruption in office worth any help?
  Pe dislikes the idea of Traders hoarding their goods... I do not blame any Trader who does that. Why would you want a private individual to sell their goods for LESS profit, when government officials demand bribes before they do what they are being paid for?
  
  Who are the "people with advantage"?
  Civil Servants, Govt Officials etc do not belong to my group of individuals.
  You may choose to look on unconcerned for people in government to squander "Majority of Gvmt monies", but I call it "Waste of OUR money", And I do not agree to it.
  An exampl of what angers me:
  The government allowed Afari Gyan to create 45 useless new constituencies to help one Party win elections. Now, Parliament is complaining they have no money. 45 new MPs, each of them with vehicle allowance, Housing allowances....
  Eh! DO WE HAVE ONLY IDIOTS AS LEADERS?

  I respect everybody comments. Let me give an example again, I went to Ghana sometime ago with my visitor and we decided to go to cape cost on our way we were stopped by the police which the officer demand a driving license from our driver and the driver gave them the photocopy but they refused to accept it so we asked the guy the reason why he did not take the original with him as we don’t want him to break the law , according to the “ driver” he said there was a time he gave them the licence and it took him months before he got it back because they want money which he would not give them so he vow not to give them the original whenever he been stop .Anyway to cut the long story short one of the officer came to me and stated that I should go and see one of the officer’s inside if not wouldn’t be able to leave here so I asked if there is a problem why not you take our car details the licence number and asked the driver to report to your office within the next 7days he insist I should go and see the officer inside and I asked myself what for.
  As a good citizen I refused to give them bribes which they are not ashamed of to ask but someone will say please just give them some money so that we can go.
  My point is if every citizen refused this kind of act and also report this kind of behaviour then people who practice this will be very careful
  Brother Don Blunt I respect your comments and I believed if all us come together we can achieve a lot.
  The below department are all corrupt and this people are individual a citizen and who is willing to expose this criminals? It has to be you and me. The president cannot do all he need our help.
  The corruption is so bad that even in hospitals they want money from your relative before attending to you properly why?
