  If this is not a donated item, then they should not put that DONATED BY MINISTRY OF ENERGY label.

  The various district assemblies should supervise and monitor the sale and distribution of these lanterns to avert these selfish and greedy people from distorting the poor in society.

  The "Tweaa" DCE's effort to clamp down hard on corrupt officials working at the District Co-ordinating Council,and also his attempt to reign in rude healthcare workers who did not give a damn about patient welfare,got more media play,which eventually got him fired!
  Journalists and the Media Houses they work for,have turned themselves into 'hired guns'[mercenaries for corrupt elements and certain vested political interests,rather than helping to expose these greedy bastards,who are lurking around in all corners of our society].

  As a matter of fact, after making public such programs,and having them end up this way,increases cynicism of public institutions.
  The corruption involving these kinds of govt subsidies - fertilizers,free mass spraying,free extension services -targeted credit facilities(special loans like MASLOC) - have all been mismanaged! This is a shame.

  Since the distribution and sales are done by NDC reps ONLY, and the previlidged ones who get them are equally NDC supporters ONLY, whom do you blame? Surely, they will never be exposed.

  Wow I thought the government said they were distributing free solar lanterns to the rural folk. now they get caught selling the lanterns, they claim they only subsidized the price. which is?? ghc 80 or ghc30??? even at 30 ...
