  Now is NOT the time for such a MOVE. It can be very easily MISCONSTRUED and Retaliatory measures could cause our own Economy tremendously.

  I am sure the argument you will be hearing is that NPP did it in 1970. It was wrong then as it is wrong today.
  
  This is what you get when you put JUST ANYBODY into any position because they have also been to the University.
  
  The easiest and most effective way to do this will be to ask ALL Business Owners to Re-register with SEVERE SANCTIONS prescribed for those who front for Non-Ghanaians.
  
  We then proceed later after an ULTIMATUM to invite Shop Owners to come with their Business Certificates and Certificates of Occupancy, their Leases and these other Documents are then verified against Documents filed with the Registrar General's Department, and Premises Inspection follows later.
  
  Choosing to do it this way can be very disruptive and undermine the IMPORT of the Exercise.
  
  I mean this Haruna man is a LAME DUCK. He CANNOT and MUST NOT undertake Policy Initiatives that could create a NIGHTMARE for his successor who deserves a say and the courtesy of being part of the implementation of that which he will superintend.
  
  IF we have waited this long to do this, we can certainly wait a couple more weeks for the new Trade Minister to STRATEGIZE his own PLAN of ACTION.
  
  To do it this way, to me, SMACKS of MUDDYING the WATERS for the in-coming Minister just as Kufuor did when he signed the Single Spine Bill on the eve of his departure from office and look at the consequences to day.
  
  Well, this is the PRICE you PAY for Inexperience and the BLAME lies squarely at the door step of the appointing authorities.
  
  I like Haruna very much and he seems to be very talented and if he had been given time to MATURE by being MENTORED by SEASONED and EXPERIENCED appointees he would have BLOSSOMED into a TRIED and TESTED and PROVEN Appointee. But Atta Mills started this and whether good or bad for Ghana or Haruna himself, it must continue. And this guy is going to the Labor Ministry?
