Now they wish us to make enemies with our natural allies in the west so we estranged with our diaspora . Why don't they go and organize a demo at the chief imam/terrorists house for after going to the Israeli embassy to beg for gifts and donations they received in good faith they chose to insult the Israelis . I wonder why this NDC mafia/Muslim group did not organize this demo during the Arab spring when they were killing our Akans in the tens of thousands all over . We shall make Ghana very unsafe for them as they have free accommodation , free food , free cars , free house boys and girls so can misbehave whenever they wake up. Americans despite some of their mischief with Monsanto and other foolishness are still our brothers and we will make sure all people who mean us well continue to feel welcome . Did it even cross the minds of these idiotic ndc that the person who wrote that tweet had every right since they were most likely half Akan and are disgusted by the careless irresponsible way the ndc are ruling ? did they not so long ago say they have a better agenda , action year, manifesto , no need for an all inclusive govt or tapping into the potentials of even the diaspora , no need for free education in the south too, no need to investigate the mysterious death of Mills , encouraging sodomy and homosexuality , govt still in first gear or now in reverse or completely stopped for lack of the fuel of ideas . In fact things are so bad that nobody sees anything but a bitter Ghana agenda , competent people with integrity refuse to participate in the mess of a govt or serve under and idiot of a pepeni president Mahama. Even our international partners shy away from having anything to do with this NDC as our problems are all about NDC POLITICS and their incorrigible rouge tribal fascism which further pushes our people to poverty . if you speak up and don't sing their hallelujah chorus of stupidity and hatred of the Akans you will be immediately be branded a drug baron , corrupt , arrogant , ashanti/akyem primitive ,madman , deranged , fool or idiot for pointing them in the right direction . how can there be a successful economic dialogue that will produce sustainable macroeconomics and plans based on the positive potentials of our people if all the major stakeholders including the diaspora are marginalized or excluded . if no one can dare to criticize the govt for fear of being victimized or persecuted by the ewes and northerners today ? The potential of the majority due to this tribal ndc politics is excluded from participating in anything so how do they expect the move things forward in reality have nothing to offer except corruption , hatred of the Akans and narrow mindedness? petition or not this govt is burdened by being illegitimate in the minds of all citizens ( as all still suspect election rigging and corruption of the judges ) so can never perform or have the true authority and support of the majority to produce a better future.one way or another they will be made to leave as their despicable acts have lead to all victims deeply despising them. At least the Bank of Ghana is able to a anticipate the contraction in the economy and currency and are taking steps to do damage limitation, however they have no clue on getting us out of this mess. So Alan at least open ur eyes properly and not only for presidency and u will see that until we go for IMF the country will be heading towards economic catastrophe. If Ghanaians think this is bad then what a coming will make this look like a joke. No country on earth has ever gotten out of a recession in a year.it will get worse before it gets better

The people who practices the social sciences and humanities are long known in our schools as second to most of the students studying sciences who end up becoming doctors,engineers,pharmacists and what have you.It is not surprising that these second to science people who end up managing the affairs of the country have mismanaged this great country with all the natural resource and human talent,a clear manifestation of their secondness!.We need to put the right pegs in the right holes if this country is move forward and take its position,where it belongs in the world of countries.
My second point is if the people in authority are that good,why can't they put in policies that will lead to loosing the people in this country from the grips of poverty? I am tempted to believe that economic theories are different in its application,if not then the people managing Ghana are weak in economics and are bereft of the dynamic nature of economics.Because if economics models and theories are the same,why are some policy makers in some countries able to apply it to the benefit of their nation and people where as our people seem not to even understand and predict when they are on the cause to plunging their the nation and the people into the pit of poverty? It's about time we think again as a country in the making of decisions.

Let's critique or support the issue on the table. The question is whether higher borrowing cost or cost of capital impacts the fundamentals of an economy positively or negatively.
Ghanaians like exploiting any little chance to blow hot air. If we don't talk on issues, our leaders would take us for granted and manage the economy anyhow.
What even is the basis for the Central Bank pegging the prime rate at 19%. If a borrower accesses capital at that rate, what mark-up are we then talking about for cost of product?
Alan is the only Ghanaian politician now, who is talking about the economic woes of Ghanaians, and positively coming out with policy alternatives.
The rest are all quiet. Do you therefore think such people have anything good and pragmatic to offer?

What Ghana needs now is fiscal discipline. The BOG is exhausted with options since it will be very difficult to maintain monetary balances when the fiscal policies/actions are are backward. The ministry of finance just has to sit up and work as technocrats and not politicians

Banks borrow our money at 19% from us. And lend to us back at 30%.

Statements like this are populous and dangerous for a country like Ghana where few people know what determines these rates.
If Alan wants to be taken seriously, he shouls make serious statements. The other day he said he was going to pay foot soldiers only for stalwarts in the NPP to ridicule him.

John Mahama withdraws subsidies on refined petroleum products and utilities to increase the cost of production/living and,ultimately,the prices of some goods and services.The rate of inflation is pushed up.The TUC asks for COLA.More money is released into the economy without a corresponding increase in productivity and the stock of goods and services.
Dr. Wampah increases the prime rate to such the excess money in a bid to control inflation and ,thereby,stifles borrowing by businesses to create more jobs.The rate of unemployment goes up.
Seth Terkper increases taxes and withdraws allowances to,also,stifle consumption.
John Mahama comes again to start the cycle with additional subsidy withdrawals.
Can these people ever solve our economic problems and give us some hope?
