Look, we cannot continue to BORROW ourselves into a future that will ONLY require more borrowing.

The DONOR countries are IGNORING our PLEAS for help because we are yet to subscribe to the old adage that "CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME"

You see, when it is obvious we have done everything HUMANLY and EXIGENTLY possible then others can see the need to come to our aid.

When you look at the EFFECTIVE TAX rates of ALL the Revenue agencies you can ONLY come to one Conclusion, which is that the Collections are WAY OFF what they ought to be.

The three institutions comprising the GRA, namely, CEPS, IRS and VAT collect about 97% of the Nation's revenue.

So therefore, when they are off by more than 10% in some instances, clearly things need to be re-visited and Senior Management re-examined as to whether they fit the Modern Theory of Revenue Mobilization.

You see, Revenue Mobilization is an ART and a MOVING TARGET which must be followed up on a Regular basis, tailored to fit the times rather than this ONE SIZE FITS ALL Approach.

Le's get REAL COMPETENT PEOPLE TESTED and PROVEN in Revenue Administration to come to the rescue and we can very easily collect 500 Million Dollars or more annually.

The facts are simple, IMF will come with conditionalities which will further impoverish Ghanaians.
The IMF virtually run the economy of Ghana from 1984 to 2006.
The result was that all our natural resources have been handed over to multinational corporations from the West leading to further impoverishment of the citizens of Ghana especially the rural poor who
have lost their lands.

Where in the world over the past 50 years has the IMF or the World Bank established any long-lasting commendable and respectable results?

At this point in time when even the most conservative govts around the world are trying their damnedest best to distance themselves from those dishonest and unprincipled institutions, whose sum total accomplishments has been to lead vulnerable nation-clients astray into worse economic conditions, this nincompoop pops out of the woodwork to ask for more. What is wrong with him? He should be ashamed of himself.

The next thing you know, Franklin Cudjoe will be campaigning for the recognition of the 'inhuman' rights of homosexuals in Ghana. People who say things like what he is reported to have said, also think like that. Its in the family. Coming to think of it, he actually even looks like one (a homosexual) himself. Ghana is a nation that sought its independence some 50+ years ago claiming to be mature and ready to man its own ship. So while the people and supporters at IMANI and other clowns in Ghana have not seen anything in developed civilized nations they can pass up on it is time they come to know and understand the lack of foresight, understanding and commitment in Ghanaians will stops us from ever getting anywhere. We chose to sell Ghana from underneath Nkrumah because he was a brutal dictator and imprisoned anarchists and saboteurs from Ghana’s so-called preferred tribes. Since then we have become a glorified nation of beggars with a few bloated egos of classroom educated clowns prancing around with their degrees and presumed intellect and wisdom even as they continue to sell off all mineral and natural resources to foreign owners. After messing up big time and showing all to see that there was never anyone in Ghana from those so-called preferred houses of deserving rulers and tribes with the wherewithal like Nkrumah, we have seen the classroom educated few fleeing like rats to enjoy the standards of living in countries where brains at work and the destiny of nations are driven by all the people in those respective nation. Now the same delusional troopers and their nuts at IMANI would love to see Ghana crawling on its knees with tin cups in hand to go begging IMF for salvation.

Which people control the inner workings of the IMF? Why should they know better than a nation of loud mouth obnoxious classroom educated yahoos who since birth have allowed tribal loyalties to flourish at the expense of progress in Ghana even as they convince their unintelligent followers they have what it takes to govern Ghana? The current picture of Ghana calls for strong men with ideas, ideals and wisdom like Nkrumah because anyone who thinks a multiparty system led by a bunch of greedy unprincipled classroom educated sellouts will do the trick lives on fantasy island. People in opposition in Ghana know of nothing to offer but oppose and people in power knows of nothing but to steal to enrich a few; that is what multiparty system brings to Ghana. Would a one party state with people voting for their preferred representatives not work? Will the representatives not have the power to elect a president or prime minster on consensus? How is the current multiparty system that has given unbridled power to the president any different from the power given Nkrumah in the CPP era? Do we not have more thieves now than in pre 1966? Do we not have more tribal strife and selective development projects in Ghana now than ever? Is this the best multiparty system the world has to offer Ghana or the best our so-called educated acquired during the years of classroom education and or work experiences in the Diaspora?
