Wasn't Mills the president when Woyome was illegally awarded millions of dollars? Was it not Mills who fired Amidu for digging too deep into the Woyome fraud and the Mahama thefts? Chambas makes little sense to me. He was ECOWAS president when the final drafts of the disgraceful EPA were put together, yet he turned around to claim ignorance of what was contained in the agreement. In short, the problems Ghana is facing at the moment are as a result of the ineptitude, Chambas can call it modesty, of Mills.

I am always surprised by intellectuals who just sing praises of leaders but fail to critically examine the influences of those leaders character on the behavior of their immediate followers. This is the case of Prof. Mills; his so called modesty could not impact on the conduct of his appointees. All the decisions made on his behalf did not reflect this modesty. Those of us who were not close to him do not appreciate this character Dr. Chambas is touting. It is therefore not necessary.
