The education ministry is in crisis and there is nothing useful he is talking about. His comments should rather have come from the Information Ministry. Some NDC sycophants wanted to lynch the moderator on the Web for saying Mahama appointees are inexperienced school boys.
During Jerry's regime, his appointees never had the guts to comment on everything. So was it at the time of Kuffour. Even now, we don't have the experienced NDC members commenting on many issues. Even if they do, they do them behind closed doors or to the president and the ministry responsible for theem. Mahama, don't think these appointees with short teeth are doing you any good with their praises.

Deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has condemned pronouncements by the Attorney-General, Martin Amidu regarding some recent newspaper publications.

The A-G in a fiery response to what he says are publications by the NDC press to run him down, accused the Daily Post, National Democrat and the Ghanaian Lens of allowing themselves to be used by an unnamed colleague minister of state.

He suggested the attacks were being orchestrated because some persons within the NDC are unhappy that he is going after suspected criminals within the party.

But Deputy Information Minister Okudzeto Ablakwa speaking on Metro TV Friday, described the comments as unfortunate adding that the A-G will be made to substantiate his claims.

“He is also going to be pushed to name [the minister plotting against him],” he said, observing that: “So it appears to me that this is just the beginning of this very, very explosive statement which the Attorney General has uttered.”

Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa also described the attacks on the newspapers as unfair and expressed worry about similar developments he says could damage the NDC and bring down the government.

“There seems to be too much internal feud within the National Democratic Congress. There seems to be too much mistrust so that when newspapers are after you, a colleague minister should necessarily be behind it… are people in an indecent hast to cause an implosion in the National Democratic Congress? Are they in hurry to return to opposition?”

Everyone in the current govt is an accomplice to this humungous crime against the state. It was this ill-gotten money from the state that helped to facilitate the NDC Party into govt. You should ask yourself why the govt did not take Woyome to court to retrieve the money in the way and manner that Martin Amidu did.

I also think that all those dubious govt characters who connived with Woyome to rip us off should be hauled before the court and charged with "Causing financial loss to the state".

The cat is now out of the bag. The NDC, as we all now see, is not really a political Party. It is a criminal mafia gang in disguise. Their strategy is not to ambush passenger buses in remote areas of the country and steal the valuables of passengers or attack families in their houses at night and rob them of their possessions. Theirs is to pretend to be politicians and steal big time monies running into billions of Cedis.

As for that Ablakwa boy, apart from him being a nondescript nonentity and not worth the while, he will certainly get what is coming to him so there is no need to even bother about discussing him.

We wait to see when the money would be collected. It should be refunded in in full and in whole and not in bits as GYEEDA and SADA. It should be done within days and not months let alone years. In spite of clear evidence to the crime, Martin Amidu was hounded, sacked and persecuted for standing up against the scam. He is the only known NDC politician who staunchly stood against this massive and shameless attempt to rob the state in the full glare of daylight - as they say, fiili-fiiili.

The problem now is that, with this mafia govt still in power, if this money is returned to the state as has been ordered by the Supreme Court, wont it be discreetly returned to Woyome by the rest of his 'gang-members' or used to pay another dubious judgment debt or worse-still, invested into the NDC 'Mahama for President 2016' campaign?

I think the money should be credited to Martin Amidus account for safe-keeping until after 2016 by which time, the NDC govt would have been surely removed from govt - by fair or foul means.

Clearly the Mahama led NDC gov't is giving real meaning to the bastardization of our democratic process and our august house by the sheer numbers of dubious judgment players parading not just the corridors of power but the seat of gov't, and also the ministries and our legislature, feeding the popular belief that right from the Presidency to the least in the NDC party, corruption, looting and thievery is sanctioned under the Rawlings founded and Mahama/Amissah Arthur led NDC gov't.
Indeed, a careful observation shows the President who at the time of the payment, was the head of the economic management team and was in the know of such a huge amount of payment to Agbesi Woyome, the Vice President Amissah Arthur who was the Governor of the BoG at the time and approved the payment, Ablakwa the defender and instigator of the Isofoton loot and now the Dep minister of Education, Barton Odro the Dep Ag at the time who approved the loot and now the Dep Majority speaker of the house etc, etc. Clearly in the NDC gov't looting is rewarded and until the Mahama NDC gov't is voted out, Ghana is going nowhere.

Look, the fact that the top court of the land had ruled in favor of Ghana does not mean the money is in our coffers. The government should get the money no matter what and that is what we are waiting for. I know this is impossible because NDC labeled Woyome as "party financier" which comes with a lot of "fine prints". Let's see if the money will be paid as ordered by the "Top court".

Secondly what happens to him if he fails to refund it. The judgement should have included a prison term of 50 years if he fails to refund it , The judges are corrupt for not including a consequence if he fails to refund it

If our judges intend to do justice then they must be just as their name suggests. They must come out with a time frame to make this payment and also include interest and court costs. Had it been a judgement debt, they would have added accrued interest and the present financial situation in the country. For instance, four years ago, a bag of cement was five cedis only, now it is three humdered and fifty cedis, almost six hundered percent increment. All these calculations must be done without fail so Ms. T.D. Woods, if you intend to be just, do not mix corn with rice. Be up and doing and don't be partial.
