  IMF bailout cannot be an anwwer to the problems of Ghana. At best it is a short term solution when what is required is that we lay the foundations very firmly for long term growth . We cannot go on closing our eyes to this way of doing things.
  
  Those who have been advocating an approach to the IMF are thinking of making a quick kill in their businesses with the hard currencies that the IMF will make available with such bailout.
  
  The problem Ghana faces is that along with laying the foundations for long term structural change in the economy,that will ensure that our wealth creating capacities are substantially improved and enlarged, we need firm policies of reform that point to and emphasize a change in our mindset to think and do things differently.
  
  Together, all these reforms well thought through, will in the end be as good as financial inputs
