The reason being the control from the central Bank of Turkey on the exchange rates. They took the necessary measures to make sure the Turkish lira is not released in large quantity into the economics of Turkey. Some people are sabotaging Mahatma’s government but that is not fair because as I always say Ghana is for us Ghanaians and we need to do things right for the country. If I was the president I will fire the director of central Bank and the minister of finance for this uncontrollable hyper inflation of the exchange rates against the cedi. They succeeded in destroying the economy.

1. Since May of this year, Mahama government has printed and pumped one billion new Ghana cedis into the economy to pay statutory payments, something the Turkey government is not doing with its lira. This policy has further eroded the value of the cedi and increased inflation.

2. The restrictions Mahama government placed on people with foreign account not to be permitted to withdraw more than ten thousand dollars from their accounted resulted in capital flights in foreign currency, eg, the Kessben case is a good example. People and other investors stopped bringing into Ghana their dollars, Euros and pound sterling if they were going to have problems accessing their accounts.

So Mahama government policies sabotaged his own government.

Meanwhile the cedi continues to sink to the bottom of the ocean like a rock, with an economy that has assumed a life of it's own in a state of higgledy-piggledy, with the masses bearing the brute force of such mismanagement, incompetence, corruption, looting, cronyism and nepotism.
Clearly, the Mahama led NDC gov't is completely clueless and highly unprepared for the serious task of governance and effective, results oriented leadership that brings about a positive impact and change in the lives of the masses. There's an increasingly worsening standard of living in the lives of the masses as a result of cluelessness and lack of vision of the NDC gov't with corruption and looting which has gone overboard, thereby sending the country into the abyss.
What are the incentives to promote investment in the country when businesses that are already in the country are closing shop and relocating outside of the country?
Where are the incentives when the mines are collapsing and laying off workers further escalating the unemployment bulge?
Where are the incentives when contractors are going out of business in droves?
With respect to the energy situation, we have been in this country when Ghanaians have been made to understand that, the gas which the President is now directing that urgent measures should be taken to bring it on stream, should have come on stream a long time ago, as announced severally by the Energy ministry with the last announced date being in July. We are currently being told it is going to be the end of the year. So the question is, per this urgent directions from the President, when are Ghanaians to expect the coming on stream of the gas project to provide fuel for power generation as well as completely curtail the foreign exchange burden of refined crude oil imports, since we have a refinery ie TOR whose mandate and operations have been stifled as a result of lack of policy coherence, direction and action on the part of the Mahama led NDC gov't?
Again how does the NDC gov't define a liberal foreign exchange regime in the face of BoG policies with respect to foreign accounts?
Clearly there's no credibility and confidence in the ability of the Mahama NDC gov't to stem the slide of the economy and our finances and the currency from their own self-inflicted actions based on mismanagement, incompetence and corruption and it would serve the country extremely well, if they are given the badly needed break in governance which they so rightfully deserve at the ballot box in 2016.
