This is a false report by somebodh really pissed that African leaders are going to be screened for Ebola. This is a feel good report to restore the tattered image of Ghana to its citizens that Ghana can also flex its muscles.

If you are flying westward as a flight from Liberia to USA takes, you don't go eastward to Ghana to refuel.

It's just like telling me my journey from Kumasi to Accra, I should go back to Sunyani to buy petrol and drive back to Kumasi and continue my journey to Accra when I can buy petrol at Konongo or Nkawkaw on Kumasi/Accra road.

Does it make sense to go and buy petrol from Tamale from Kumasi before travelling to Accra? -That is exactly what this news is saying.

Also flight paths are not set in stone. Bad weather and other perilous conditions (e.g. armed conflict) can force an airline to change its routine flight path. During the Ivorian conflict, Delta followed a path that veered northwards to avoid the Ivory Coast and partially flew over Burkina before landing in Accra.

It will be abnormal for flights from Liberia to USA to fly and refuel in Ghana before going to USA and the scenario Sarpong created about travelling from Kumasi to Accra and have to go to Suyani for petrol is what this news is trying to say.

It is shorter to fly from Liberia to USA than to fly from Ghana to USA and if a plane can fly from USA directly to Accra without refueling and vice versa, why will a flight from Liberia to USA needs to stop in Accra? It doesn't make any sense.

The moment the first two of their nationals caught the virus, they flew down vials of the drug and that doubtlessly saved their lives. What is their excuse? ...the drug was a trial drug that required the permission from these two white people before it could be used. My question is this..don't dying Africans have the right also to decide to allow an experimental drug to be used on them in an effort to save their lives? This is a clear confirmation of how much America is concerned about Africans. Now they want to send their nationals fleeing from Ebola to Ghana? Let them send them straight to the U.S. after all, they have the treatment there. We don't have medical treatment for our citizens here so we cannot allow them to bring Ebola here.

If you do follow the news, some African families started suspecting that they were purposefully being infected with the Ebola virus by the white man hence refused to send their sick family members to the hospital.

You must very well know that most drugs have very serious side effect and therefore any decision to bring those medications to a third world country cannot be taken lightly.
We will be the first to accuse the west of Imperialism and genocidal mentality if the side effects accidentally hastened the death or as a result caused a permanent disfigurement of the patients. Take note that both American patients are in the medical field. One as a doctor and the other as a nurse. They most might likely have signed a weaver for the drug manufacturer to release such an untested drug on humans. Before now, it had only been tested on Primates.
So bro, cut the Americans slag.

However, I totally agree with with the authorities not to allow the passengers on Delta Airlines not to disembark from the plane.

America evacuated the medical doctor and the missionary that were infected without stopping in Ghana. If America is evacuating its citizens from Liberia to America, it would not make any sense to go to east route to refuel for two hours and then go back westward. Do you understand that?

It is like you are going from Kumasi to Accra but you leave Kumasi and drive to Sunyani to buy petrol before turning back to Kumasi to drive to Accra, does it make any sense? Will it not make sense to drive to Nkawkaw or Konongo instead to buy gas?

America cannot use our land as a dumping ground for Ebola, knowing quite well that there is no cure for the dreaded virus.
I hope no African country would allow the Americans to use their country as a dumping ground for the Ebola disease.
