Whether constitutional or not, Woyome and the others did some work that needed to be paid for.. Doesn't the same constitution that forbids free- labour and all forms of labour exploitation? And that all work done must have to be paid for? The "criminal" case is completely separate from the constitutional case.
Imagine you, having worked for Woyome on the said projects, how would you feel if the Supreme Court says because the contract was not approve by the Parliament of Ghana, you should not be paid for all the work that you've done? Wouldn't you run shouting on top of your voice cursing and even threaten to pursue a court action tto retrieve your money? Ask yourself again!
The only thing that will make Woyome refund this moneys is by finding him guilty of fraud and criminality. Other than that... he is a free man to CHOP his money...

The Supreme Court has spoken so I doubt there is an available avenue to further letigate this issue/case, but when those who made the decision to pay Mr. Woyome, including Mr. Barton-Odro, decide to open their mouths to speak on the subject, they should be thoroughly questioned so that we get a better picture.

So just because the SC ruling on the Woyome case suites some of you fine and dandy does not mean it will survive moral scrutiny. Here is what the Woyome case boils down to: a government agency tells Ghanaian businesses to submit competitive pricing for a government contract and some did. Woyome’s group came up winners but because Ghana is a broke country and could not afford to fund its own darn project, it requested of the winning vendor/contractor to come up with its own financing. To do so some core group of government officials directly from the office of the Kufour presidency gave Woyome a letter of introduction to use in his search for funding even though not officially from the government. I would like for any moral Ghanaian to give reasons why a procedure that is not legitimate and or unknown to Ghana’s government could be tangled up with letters from government officials even it not officially? In the mean time anyone in Ghana who knows anything about bid processes knows that it is illegal for any official to use information gained from the bid process to solicit alternate pricing from non participants of the bid process but Kufour our then president did. It is not only criminal for Kufour to do so but a subversion of our own laws. This is how Ghana has degenerated into a corrupt society when you Cape Coast clowns jump for joy preferring one corrupt and contemptible act of Kufour over the legal basis of Woyome actions. Woyome did not hold a gun to anyone neither did he threaten our courts while using the legal system to seek redress of a Kufour actions that are inherently damaging to the truthfulness and honesty of our government.

It was equally unconscionable that Ebo Barton Odro was a member of a parliamentary committee set up to draft a report or document to address the issue of judgment debt payments under the Mahama led NDC gov't.
There's is clearly a serious disconnect between the good governance indicators that engenders respect for our legislative assembly with the likes of Ebo Barton odro as the 1st Deputy Speaker of the Hosue. It's an indictment again on the Mahama NDC gov't and indeed goes to cement the fact that in the Mahama led NDC gov't, corruption and looting is rewarded, a very, very bad governance indicator. Since Mahama became the President of Ghana, by his actions, Ghanaians became so dejected of him because they came to realize that that they stupidly had put a corrupt person in office. Mahama surrounded himself with people like him and as such it is no surprise that a former Deputy Attorney General shamelessly decided to express an opposing comment on the decision of the highest Court of the land- the Supreme Court regarding the dubious and ill advised payment by the State to Mr. Agbesi Woyome on the advise of the then Deputy Attorney General- Barton Oduro. One thing that is no secret in the minds of Ghanaians is that the former Deputy Attorney General and currently the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament might have had his share of the cool dubious payment and that is why he is speaking against the Supreme Court decision because he knows the truth is going to come out and he'll have to pay back his share to the State.
I think a conscientious Parliament could do itself a great and honorable favor by denouncing the thoughtless comment of the First Deputy Speaker and to set in motion a move to relieve Mr. Ebo Barton Oduro of his First Deputy Speakership because he is a disgrace to that office. I wish his constituents would realized that he is not an honorable as they had thought of him and vote to recall him as their representative in Parliament.

Barton Odro should be given time to resign from Parliament or be chased out.
It's time to inject sanity into our governance systems.
Without oil, we had about 3 months of import cover from our reserves of about $3.2billion dollars and now with oil, our reserves stand anywhere between $400-900million dollars, providing an import cover of only about 2 weeks, as a result of such characters as this Barton Odro, who signed off on dubious judgment debt, and he has the temerity to still insist that even after the most esteemed Justices of the Supreme Court have given their verdict, the Mahama/Woyome orchestrated thievery is justified!!!
Ghana arise and chase him out. The nonsense and the bastardization of our governance systems needs to end. Barton Odro should resign or chase him out. The thievery by the Mahama led NDC gov't and it's justification by these same looters in the face of evidence to the contrary is highly insulting and unacceptable. Today, the Mahama NDC gov't is shamelessly parading around and inside the IMF, for a bailout, to address their own thievery which has crippled the country, and the likes of Barton Odro, a major architect in the thievery continues to thump his nose at the masses who are bearing the brunt of such thievery. This state of affairs needs to be reversed. Barton Odro needs to vacate his seat!!!

He ran to seek membership in Parliament as some shield from prosecution. But that must not work. We should promptly grab him and take him to Court for aiding and abetting Woyomegate.

He better get his wife return the $400,000 or so she was reported to have received from Woyome before too late.
