ADMISSION INTO SHS 1, 2 AND REMEDIAL SCHOOL FOR 2014/2015 ACADEMIC YEAR.

It is announced for the information of prospective applicants that Cambridge Senior High School is admitting students into SHS 1, 2 and the Remedial School.

The courses being offered include General Arts, Business and General Science. BOARDING facilities are available for both males and females. More importantly, the fees are moderate. All the tutors are experienced examiners. The school is located at North Suntreso-Kumasi on Sunyani Road near Bekwai Roundabout.

Anansekrom might be my hometown or where my parents come from, but if I as a person lives and work at Accra, I can't register at Anansekrom, I have to register at where I live and work. That is what has happened here. The fact that your daddy is regional minister does not mean you can pick and choose anywhere in the region to register and vote. You have to register at where you have lived continuously for six months towards the Election Day.

The use of "requested" and "for" in the sentence, "The NPP agents requested for Challenge Forms...", is wrong. When "request" is used as a verb (as in this sentence) there should not be the preposition, "for". The preposition, "for", comes in when the word "request" is used as a noun.

So the sentence should either read: "The NPP agents requested Challenge Forms..." (without "for") or "The NPP agents made a request for Challenge Forms..." ("for" is introduced because "request" is used as a noun).
I would have let this one simply "pass by", if this article had been written by just anyone. It's very appealing to see journalists make such JHS mistakes.
I leave the substantive issue-the politics-for more knowledgeable commentators on this forum to discuss.

That same law you referred to, states that, when a registration is challenged, the he card should be withheld until the review committee adjudicate the matter. If they were indeed genuinely out challenge forms it means, there is a challenge pending on the registration, so why were their cards given to them. Please you guys give us a break from those stomach direction politics.

It is unpardonable for the EC to give an excuse of inadequate registration forms at the very beginning of the exercise knowing very well that many protest are bound to come.
