  Energy is life it cannot be taking away from politics.If you that your people are poor you do not offer them essential services that are surrealistict.For example, not every poor man can buy a car but it is essential that everybody should be able to move from one place to another.For this reason it becomes necessary to have mass transportation system through public and private initiative. Our administrators, engineers and stakeholder in the energy sector should be innovative and pragmatic to produce and distribite power at a reasonable cost becausewe cannot leave beyond our means.Thank you.

  Boy Kofi, it is true energy is life and everybody should have it - "at a reasonable cost because we cannot sic(leave)beyond our means", presumably because of our meagre income. But, it's equally true that nothing is free when produced through investment from the state or private entities, or both, jointly. While our engineers and administrators are struggling for the knowhow to produce it themselves we may have to depend on private companies to produce our energy requirement and pay for it at the rate they ask for. Kofi, nothing is cheap or free, anymore, in this predominately capitalist world; either you pay for what you want at its price or, go without it. The choice is ours!

  You need money to produce electricity, you need efficient system to distribute it.Now the industries and urban dwellers will pay for the cost because they need it so badly.If we want our villages to have electricity where there are no serious economic activities there.How are they going to pay for it? Can govt bear the cost or will the private distributer accept to run at lost? These are political equations because we must power the villages if we want to develop but someone has to pay who is going to pay? That is the question.Thank you.
