Long time ago most people are ignorant about the hazards involved in bush-meat consumption because they fail to get abreast with useful information that about 65% of sicknesses of humans are derived from the consumption of bush meat as indicated in the report of world veterinary conference held in Ghana and research findings of the Noguchi Memorial Institute which proved the probability of grass-cutter hosting Burili Ulcer.To control this menace and many other negative effects of hunting and consuming bush animals,Government initiated domesticating and rearing of GRASS-CUTTER in line with best practices and H.A.C.C.P. So patronize domesticated Grass-cutters and you are safe because in confinement they are taken care of and no sickness is allowed without treatment. Government should institute screening exercise by the Veterinary department to ascertain the safety of domesticated grass-cutter so that consumers and sellers will feel confident to satisfy themselves.I invite the Ministry Of AGRIC. to step in and assist in identifying he farmers for the exercise and I also need help from grass-cutter farming associations and other stake holders to sponsor me to clear the air on radio stations that domesticated grass-cutter even though not as palatable as the bush one with hazards, is safer.MY email: foxgrafe@yahoo.com aLL ARE WELCOMED.
