The lesson you folks don't seem to get is simply that after seeing all the other candidates "go to Hell", which is a one-way trip, the Party could have no one else to compete for the Presidency after Nana serves his term, assumming he even wins in 2016.

Your hatred for opposition is so deep it drives you to destroy all the other competitors. Then, the next time around, the very words you used to disparage those folks and fellow Party leaders, would be used by the Party's opponents to win over those candidates if they even survive to stand again after Nana's term.

By the very nature of your presumed hierarchical ranking in the Party for the Flagbearer eligibility, it is very difficult for someone relatively unknown to suddenly emerge as the most fitting for the Flagbearer, no matter how astounding the person's qualifications for the position are. And yet, here you are destroying the very people who might have to take over from the one you place at the very top.

The wisest thing to do is to limit criticisms of opponents within the Party to functional qualifications for the Flagbearer, not of the fundamental personal character or even humanity of those opponents. You folks have chosen scour the entrails of every opponent of Nana Akufo-Addo, to make them look like nothing more than some imbecillic zombies.

When Nana's time comes and goes, who else in the Party's leadership would fit the criteria of having served the Party long enough to deserve the Flagbearer?

Eligibility for the Flagbearer must not be determined by how long a potential candidate has been in the Party, nor assumed to be by some divine or familial ordination.

When the other aspirants go to hell, the rest of the Party would follow.

Better re-think your wish for those other aspirants.

So long as the NPP remains an Ashanti cult or a tribalistic organization, the NPP will never win any national elections. Elections can only be wonder when a political party is a national one but the NPP is not. It is not enough for an Ashantis/Akyem party to win any elections. NPP can keep on dreaming afterall it is easy to dream. We have also not forgotten that the UP/NPP is a terorrist and bomb throwing organization /the Al Kaida of Ghana).

It is very bizarre! As an observer, I can see that Nana is the Delegate’s choice – without any doubt. But the big question is why these party leaders are openly declaring for Nana in contravention of the party’s own guidelines? It’s all about their stomach. They want to attract Nana’s attention so they can become Ministers if Nana is third time lucky. I however think that they are doing more harm than good to Nana’s presidential bid.
The sensible thing to do is for these party officials / MPs to go to the delegates and not on TV and radio. I tell you even if Nana has 95% support, the 5% who support the other candidates can bring Nana down. They may not do so publicly but would jubilate in their closet if Nana fails again in 2016. NPP please wise up!
