The ways of deception are the ways of the devil. Let's not fall for his trick that a moon god can also be the God of heaven (Yahweh). We are to "submit to God, and resist the devil, and he will flee" from us (James 4:7).

The ways of deception are the ways of the devil. Let's not fall for his trick that a moon god can also be the God of heaven (Yahweh). We are to "submit to God, and resist the devil, and he will flee" from us (James 4:7).

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it? I, Yahweh, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings." Jeremiah 17:9-10

God's love for us is always redemptive, even when we have been deceived by false prophets and idols of the heathen. God reads our minds like an open book; let's not deprive ourselves of the joy of a redemptive relationship with him.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end." Jeremiah 29:11.

Trust God, not another man.

"Thus says Yahweh: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh." Jeremiah 17:5.

Why trust God, and not another man?
(because God wants to be our sustainer and preserver, even in adversity)

"For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:8.
