Okoe is the very epitome of incompetence!

How do you expect the city to be free of filth when there are no bins? In every city, except in Ghana, you find a bin every 50 metres. Then if a citizen drops litter the city is justified to punish him/her.

The attitudinal problem is with the people at the top in Ghana, not the other way round

The “smart” waste management system, as Vanderpuije calls it, will help the Accra Metropolitan Assembly know when waste bins are stolen as well as where they are needed.

They will also help the Assembly to know when to move in to empty waste bins, as well as keep track of areas in the city that may be taken over by filth.

A vacuum of leadership presence is sharply felt in all areas . People perform amazing acts of heroism and selflessness in other countries where civilization thrives with orderliness. Why is it not possible for us to behave likewise ?

Government should standup to that challenge. Otherwise diseases like cholera cannot be avoided.

How feasible? Why don't you use the money to install the CCTV to buy more trucks? Where in the world is CCTV used to monitor rubbish? The idea is a waste and must be thrown into the waste bin.

What are the AMA officers doing at the lorry stations and at the market places??? Always collecting money from shops, venders, kayayei, commercial vehicles and chasing sellers for their wares. Those so-call AMA task force employed and payed can do much better work than those cctv cameras, as they know where every seller hides. They must be made to ensure that no one throws any rubish or waste anywhere in the city except into refuse bins. The police and the traffic wardens can also help do this, and in no time the refuse situation will be gone. Why waste good cash on cctvs?????? This really makes some of us very very sick indeed. The sad thing is that they will not even listen to public suggestions due to perhaps?????????.
