Had he used his office and power to improve the medical and the road system, he'll have been rescued by proper EMS and taken to a proper hospital and taken care by properly trained doctors(not the quacks and yes my brother is a doctor in Ghana). Death the great equalizer doesn't give a shit about your position or money. But at least it could have made a difference. Africans like power but don't know how to wield it. The only way they know is to enrich themselves and destroy their enemies. The idea of creating or doing something for the general good or societal good never occurs to them. Better roads, better medicine and better support systems could have save many Africans. But the African power elite forget that the roads the refuse to fix may be their doom. Eyadema, houphet, mobutu et al got theirs.
