First of all Mamprobi is not a coastal suburb. Mamprobi is at least 1½ km from the nearest beach which is at Chorkor.

Finally, there are very few Ga families living there now, so it is not very likely that such 'malodorous' activities can take place there.

Secondly Mamprobi is generally of a middle-class disposition, which means that most of the people living there have toilets in their homes and would therefore look upon open defecation with disdain.

Authorities should check the truth on his resume because there is no city in the USA where one would be caned for defecating in public. An offender of this type crime would only be given summons to appear in court. This is troublesome, for I doubt if such a suggestion would come from the lips of man who claimed to have occupied a high public office in the United States of America.I have always doubted the truth about this man on what he put on his resume. Because his pronouncements in office speak differently as a responsible officer. Look at how he messed himself up in Mrs. Oko's case and many other of his mis steps. All that he claimed that he held high positions in the US were not true because he would have been forced to resign long time ago because Americans would not condone the J.J. Rawlings type of raw justice which is similar to what Mr.Vanderpuije has been advocating ever since he assumed office in Accra. It is high time Mr.Vanderpuije should resign.

Where humans live there must be a place for their waste product. It is impossible for people to defaecate anywhere anyhow if proper toilet facilities are provided for them. If Vanderpuije cannot see to that, then he must cane himself, cane the landlord and cane workers of any department responsible for approving building plans. The presence of toilet in every house will reduce the free range style of defaecating everywhere. So I think if there is anybody to be caned then the Vandal-boy himself must take the first lashes for not seeing to it that household toilet is provided in every house in the city he controls.

1. will you 'normally' starve when there is food in front of you?
2. will you 'normally' walk in the rain with your umbrella in your bag and get wet?
3. will you 'normally' stand when there is a seat for you to sit down?
4. will you throw rabish anywhere when
there is garbage bin in fron of you?
5. will you shit in your bedroom when there is toilet in the house?
remember only lunatic will answer 'in affirmative' to these questions. how many free public toilets do we have in big cities in Ghana? how many free incinerators are there in big cities? nature's call is something nobody can refuse. do you think if there are free public toilets within distance people will defecate everywhere? whose duty is it to provide free public toilet or refuse dump?

The demonstration will take place at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle with a march trough Accra, ending at the Independance Monument where the demonstrators are invited to difficate publicly in protest of the above mentiond circumstances.

For all those claim government should provide toilets, give your head a shake. You know how disgusting and dirty Ghanaians are, what do you think will happen to these toilets in a year. They'll become dirty and stinking eyesores which will require another expenditure to clean or rid of it. If Ghanaians care and love their city, they'll do it themselves. Small business will have toilets on their premises. Individual home will band together to build toilets in their communities. That's how you build a nation. But Tweeeaaaaa! Ghanaians don't have a clue on these matters. They bullshit their way and attempt to convince you that they know. But the truth is the don't know squat! Consider the state of neighbourhoods that were planned and properly laid out years ago now. They have been reduced to shanty towns. Eg Tema, Chorkor/mamprobi, Korle Gonno and even Kaneshie. 30 years ago you could still walk through these places without seeing containers occupying sidewalks. at chorkor even the public bathroom is now someone's bedroom. It is sick and disgusting.
