Ghana has a market economy. Ghana is not an OECD country. Prices of goods and services in Ghana must be determined by demand and supply.

There is supply of certain currencies but absolutely no demand for those currencies. What should be the value of these currencies? These currencies include Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, Swiss Franc, Danish krone, Swedish krona, Norwegian Krone. All EU countries must transfer or bring to Ghana only Euros.

The global supply of United States dollars is disturbing.

On the contrary there is demand for chinese Yuan but there is no supply in Ghana.

We must not forget that the role of currency is to facilitate the exchange of goods and services. That is commodity-Money-Commodity (C-M-C)

There was no reason for the technical team to take appearance fee since they are on salary or otherwise. Everybody wants to milk Ghana at the least opportunity. The monies should be retrieved. PERIOD.

Now with the playing body of 23 men and 7 so-called Technical-men pocketing $100,000 each these comes up to $3,000,000. Now we learned of 10 management team members who also pocketed $82,500 which equals to $825,000 bringing the total appearance fees paid up to $3,825,000 out of the $4,000,000 released by BoG with the remaining $175,000 going to anybody's pocket.

With exception of the 23-man playing body and may be the coach and his immediate assistant, whose total sum came up to $2,500,000 how sensible is it to dish out $1,500,000 to Afriyie Ankrah, Nyantakyi and others who didn't loose a sweat to have such colossal sum of money in just 14 days whilst Government is unable to pay its suppliers to Ministry of Education which is leading to over 300 people going to loose their jobs? Let's remember that in Ghanaian culture when 300 people loose their jobs it affects approximately 1,500 people if we average each beneficial family to 5.

I think Mahama is a crook and clueless leader and do not care about the fate of the ordinary folk out there. This Afriyie Ankrah should have seen his exit by Mahama rather than re-assigning him with another position.

Now to those who heaped all sort of insults on Muntari and Kevin and blanding them as unpatroitic should bow their heads in disgrace. They smart and saw what was going on hence their agitations. Where do we go bleeding GHANA? The so-called youthful politicians have woefully failed the nation. E&OE.

Who took home $100,000 and who took home $82,500? We know that there were 23 players and at least 17 officials forming the management team. If Kwasi Appiah and his 23 players took $100,000 each - and oh, nearly forgot the technical team, too - supposing the technical team numbered six, then 10 other officials together took home $820,000. Then the total would be way above the $3,000,000 that we were told was airlifted to Brazil. Could someone come out and give us the correct figures now? Or, is it true that $4,500,000 was actually airlifted to Brazil. If so, what happened to the balance? There are more questions than answers.
Both the Chief Accountant and the Chief Director are throwing in the expressions 'management team' and 'technical team' just to confuse matters. One looked at the $3,000,000 and decided to simply share it among 23 players and a technical team of 7 and thus get a remainder zero. The other was smart enough to realise that members of the management team also took home their bonus from the same $3 million, so they all could not have taken away the same $100,000 but rather decided to tow the official line of $82,500 apiece. And that is where the problem arises. Committee or commission, duka daeya! All boils down to chasing the wind!
