Nana’s sources of income did not come from his personal sweat. He is where he is as a result of the booty bequeathed to him by what his father looted from the economy and also the bribe his father took, serving as a traitor to overthrow Dr.Kwame Nkrumah. Now that he has used up all the wealth through dirty campaign and empty litigations, what he thinks of doing is using his demonstration talent to buy the conscience and lobby by using corrupt minds in leadership position in the country; some of them who pose as men of God, to chastise Government and make the country unstable. The tactics of Nana Addo is nothing new to what his father did to Ghanaians. Their sole interest is to make every regime ungovernable by castigating lies, ugly insults, throwing bombs, killing women, burning markets, lengthy shallow litigations in courts and false alarm blowers. What can they boast of themselves and what have they achieved for Ghana? They want Ghanaians to be sub-servants to them whilst in their own thinking and mental deliberations; they remain perpetually slaves to neo colonialism. From his birth he was thought to backbite, destroy, kill and make shameless utterances, bully, join occult and make use of cannabis. If you are a discern citizen, I will entreat you sit up and think, get knowledge and don’t sell your conscience to these reckless generation who don’t care about you than to seek their self interest

Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one

Wow! This guy went to town and emptied his heart and years of frustrations! Aspects of this opinion are on the button but frankly I dare say most politicians are not much different. In particular, those operating in Africa are particularly self-seeking and incompetent while their people wallow in poverty, disease and ignorance.

Now they have added a proliferation of fake pastors to hypnotize the people while they and their pastor bedfellows enrich themselves at the expense of their people.

In each election cycle we are forced to decide who is a better devil. Those who knew Nana Addo in his younger days are totally appalled that he is the one NPP has to turn to bring good governance to Ghana! At the same time, if one objectively evaluates the current government, one can only ask "did we come or did we go"?

Here lies the dilemma of the genuinely independent Ghanaian that the above writer appears to be appealing to. One can run down the candidature of Nana till we all turn blue, but what next?

That is the 64 million dollar question!!

Now,with Nkrumahs egoistic tendences he unceremoniously opted from the UGCC and founded his own party called the CPP and emmerged victorious to become the first prime minister in 1957,for the independence of Ghana. Nkrumah begun arresting and persecuting the UGCC members with a view to having his own way of party system he had in mind, chased most of them like Dr KA Busia,mr Obetsebi Lamptey the father of former chairman of the NPP who was killed in cold blood by some of Nkrumahs stooges in Nigeia, and Kow Richardson who escaped death and threw some of the poor supporters of the UGCC in Ghana into Nsawam Medium security prison built ostensibly for the incarciration of opposition members to quiete them for any least offences under the so called PDA,prevention.Detention.Act of 1958.The overthrow of Nkrumah saw a great number of poor Ghanaians who were freed and caught with strokes,blinded and others out of their minds.The people behind the BBC should know the best history to bring to the public domain than the political propaganda being perpetrated by them for their political aggrandishment.

I have always said Nana Addo is not a good orator, his political rhetorics are ineffective, full of avoidable errors.I think the earlier he stops talking about the elections petition the better for Npp.The President of Ivory Coast, Alhassan Ouattara was 68 years when he was elected and the currency of Ivory Coast is owned by France unlike the Ghana Cedi.We can compare Ivory Coast to Ghana in terms of cocoa production where Ghanaian farmers are smuggling their produce to that country because the price there is better than ours.If Ivorians wanted an oldman president it does not mean we should follow blindly because we don't have the same political orientations.If Nana continues giving statement in a faux-pas, then I am afraid Npp is heading directly to another humiliating defeat.Thank you.

Now you know who or which country is subsidising the CFA-FRANC or what is popularly known as CIFA among the indigenous Francophone countries in our neighbouring sub-Saharan region. There are two separate regions that use the currency, namely, the West Africa Francophone countries and the Central Africa Francophone countries. The list of the West Francophone group are as followed: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. The Central Francophone group are: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and of course Gabon.

Thence, in there is the mystery since the CFA currency of the Western Francophone African countries is different from that of the Central Francophone African countries. Yet, both are of the same value and pigged to a fixed exchange rate against the Euro at: 100 CFA francs = 1 former French (nouveau) franc = 0.152449 Euro; or 1 Euro = 655.957 CFA francs exactly. Now, the history behind the currency: The CFA franc was created in 1945 following the end of the Second World War. Previously, French colonies had their currencies pegged to the French franc, but the Bretton Woods Agreement ratified in 1945 had the French franc pegged to the dollar, devaluing the French Franc. By creating a new currency, the CFA Franc, France was able to avoid devaluating currencies in its colonies.

The reason for their creation was the weakness of the French franc immediately after World War II. When France ratified the Bretton Woods Agreement in December 1945, the French franc was devalued in order to set a fixed exchange rate with the US dollar. New currencies were created in the French colonies to spare them the strong devaluation, thereby facilitating exports to France. French officials presented the decision as an act of generosity. René Pleven, the French minister of finance, was quoted as saying: "In a show of her generosity and selflessness, metropolitan France, wishing not to impose on her far-away daughters the consequences of her own poverty, is setting different exchange rates for their currency."

IN a votive offering, the "CFA" has had a few meanings over the years. Between 1945 and 1958, CFA stood for "colonies françaises d'Afrique", referring to former African colonies of France. Between 1958 and the independence of the nations using the CFA in the early 1960s stood for "communauté françaises d'Afrique" (French Community of Africa). Finally after independence and to this day it stands for "Communauté financière d'Afrique" (African Financial Community).

The above simply means that, the French did give these colonial countries independent, but never really left their shores to govern solely for themselves. Something one could hardly say about Ghana or Nigeria under the banner of the Union Jack courtesy Queen Elizabeth.

The reckless spending of the NPP before leaving office contributed to the situation we find ourselves today. Even the World Bank was concerned about the reckless spending of the NPP in 2007. A single year of bad fiscal management and looting will take 10 years to fix. Ivory Coast would not find it easy today if Gbagbo had emptied the national coffers as NPP did to Ghana.

Kofi Abrefa Busia and Akufo-Addo senior were brought into power by Akwasi Amankwaa(you guessed it,Afrifa)
following the unfateful CIA inspired and CIA finananced '66 coup("3n3 y3 n3")which unseated The Great And Noble African Kwame Nkrumah(tikese3).

Then when Ghanaians became tired of JJ,who ran the presidency like the Pope for 19 intimidating years,Kuffour appeared on the scene.

It was only then,Ghanaians who were ready for (any)change voted for the first (and last time,I must add)for the U.P/NLM/P.P/NPP.
Kuffour's arrival was nothing but the TIMING that happeared to be right.

So,historically,most Ghanaians do not
trust a "matemeho Party".They never have,they never will.It WLL FOREVER REMAIN A CURSE FOR OVERTHROWING NKRUMAH.

Hence,it's not about you Nana,it's just wrong party.Period.

Nana Akufu Addo talks about the Ivory Coast leader, Alhassan Ouattarra, transforming the Ivory Coast economy under his leadership at the age of 72 years, but what Nana Addo has ignored is that Ouattarra has not encountered political hostilities and industrial strifes after the civil war in his country and, therefore, has free hands to steer the country to prosperity. Mahama, on the other hand, had been forced to waste 8 solid months fighting to justify the legality of his administration in the Supreme Court. Even though he has won the case, the NPP and its allies have determined to make the country "ungovernable" under his administration by instigating labour strikes, spreading hatred against him, personally, sabotage and parliamentary destructive tactics to stop his government delivering its agenda. It's, no surprise that tranquil Ivory Coast is forging ahead economically under Ouattarra.

Third he must U Owusu to do same for her statement that if not for free school programm Mahaman and other Nothners in would have been cattle rangers.
Also one of the NPP activities who said on the Adom FM that if you see a truck full load of charcoal , it is coming from the north that northners are lazy etc.
If all the above is done, Nana Addo could sail without any hindrance to Jubilee House for the next 8 yrs (2016-2014)

No the enduring lesson for Ghanaians is when a leader of a party will request that 4 million votes of his compatriots should be cancelled for him to be president, meaning those people do not matter to him. They could be dead and he does not care.
2. Bawumia has a problem in the whole north. His father was a n important chief who served under Dr Nkrumah and later a Minister in Rawlings govt. his side benefitted most from Chief Bawumia now he joins the other party for what his people keep asking? In Ghana you do not point your left finger to your father's house and that is what Dr Bawumia has done a taboo.

The time will never come when a northerner or a non-Akan will lead the NPP. That will be the time when an elephant squizzes through the ballot box. When deep down in their minds they know that within them there is a northerner more capable, but for the desire and feeling of entitlement by an ethnocentric die hard. President Mahama's comment was made in reaction to NPP's deceptive posture to Northerners, that is trying to dangle Bawumia before them as a ruuning mate. If Northerners are good for a position then that of the president is better than the Vice. Simple. It worked with Mills, and it worked with Mahama, and it would work for whoever comes after Mahama in the NDC. There is no deying that Ghana is made up tribes and so tribal politics would always dominate. The NPP can decide to ignore other tribes, but their loss in that decision is the gain for their opponents. No particular tribe or ethnic group was predestined to rule Ghana. We can always make comparisons.

(b) Afrifa-Busia-Acheampong-Akkuffo-Kuffour
Take a look at these two lists and see the difference yourself. Perception is reality in Ghana. NPP better stop insulting other tribes, as if there are no competent people in these other tribes to rule Ghana.

Since members and supporters of a party alone never win an election on their own, popularity outside the party is the key to victory. That can only come about when the genuine fears and negative perceptions of a presidential candidate are reduced to the minimum.
