It is not the president's responsibility to intervene in labour matters. If you cannot resolve it with your immediate management team, take it to your union leadership or an independent arbiter. Failing that go to the court of arbitration and leave the president to carry on with more important national issues. Bad employment relations at Golden Tulip is not high enough in the nation's agenda to involve the president. The president will be ill-advised to take up the role of always intervening in such disputes. Grow up!

The president don't solve workplace labour problems but he is in charge of the economy which has got a direct correlation with workers welfare.A good economy means few workplace labour agitations and vice versa.

They promised to look into it and get in touch with me but I didn't hear from them. When they do such things how can the hotel attract clients, make profit and pay good salaries. Let them feed on their corrupt practices and stolen monies.

The management and the Union leaders of Golden Tulip should control their anger and find means to resolve the hotel's internal problem amicably. As to why the management resulted to employ some macho private security men into the matter shows how desperate and incompetent they are to manage crisis and agree to disagree to fix internal work place problems peacefully. Calling on the President who have already got too much to think of is completely over the mountains. May be the Union leaders will have done well by calling on the minister responsible for Tourism and I think the minister will do well to interfere to protect the government 40% interest and help sort out the workers genuine grievances. Power to the people!!!
