Plus, if the present government is not sure it's going to be in power in 2017, I don't see any motivation for them, given our mentality as africans to spend money to host such a gargantuan event which will can only be a lose-lose for the govt
The government will get criticized for wasting money needed to fix the ailing economy. (lose situation) and even if the event become very successful, the government MAY not be in power to take credit (another lose situation)
