You and me will die "tomorrow" but you and me are not with the question to be president "tomorrow" but NANA is. You must be equipped with the experience and the quality of that measure to think of the presidency in any country. Other measures are important but not when Nana Addo's docters have officially reinstated him fit. If you think because of NANAS age his future is uncertain then you better pray for yours. What have become of us when Mahama NDC experimented "young blood" government? Today, "reshaful" is what I think it's called. Ghana's problem is "technician knows how" and I guess Mahama is "Block headed" to know how. Akofo Addo knows how because he is smart with experience. Experience and quality of higher measures are incompatible with age. Irrespective of the age, experience is invisible from Mahama's performance while common sense from his "coconut head" expresses the key. After all, no sensible man with comparable qualities has come forward except impassionate goons like those commenting on NANA's age on this web.

Even taking into consideration the intellectual capacity, body language and alacrity, stability and soundness of mind of the two of them, it becomes very evident that Nana Addo is more fit than a person like Sekou to run this country.

We currently have a President who is in his early fifties but whose conduct, intellectual capacity and mental stability is much worse than that of a sick Prof Mills at 70+ years.

Look at people like Ablakwa, Ofosu Kwakye, and somebody like Anita Desousa. They are active with vibrant ages, but they lack the common sense in politic.

When on earth have you heard them talking sense. They have sold their conscience and only make propaganda statements to provoke the mass.
Folks to be honest, Mahama (being young) and Akuffo Addo (being old) which one do you prefer?. It is not about age but you technical know- how to make good decisions and judgement.

I think I would prefer a good working old age brainer with good governance for Ghana for just a week, than having a no-clue brainer as president forever.

Honestly, if you ask me to choose between EBOLA and MAHAMA, I will go for EBOLA without hesitation.

Ametepey), you wanted him to be a lame duck, and wait till he was killed? Any sensible person would have taken precautionary measures to safe himself from his assailants, hence the CIA spies like J. B. Danquah unfortunately, had to be jailed. Ghanaians never lived in poverty, squalor, shanty towns and slums, during Nkrumah's time. In fact all Africans faked Ghanaian citizenship at that time. In London and New york black Africans from other countries wanted to be Ghanaians. Nkrumah gave Sekou Toure the Guinea President (and not the President of Mali) 10 million pounds their colonial master aboandoned them and even took away office pins when they left Guinea. It was only proper that the only independent black African country coming out of colonial under colonial administration had to support the callous behaviour of the French to stifle the newly independent Guinea to call them back. I just want remain him that most of the economic wows in the sub -sahara are the legacies of his father Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and President sekou of Guinea whom he was named after. Their legacies had plague our countries since independence in the 50's after the colonial master had left us fortune and wealth. We rather pay salaries of MPs and Ministers and again bow to them and call them Honorable and all sorts of big names. If we are to understand for once in our lives that it is they that are rather supposed to humble themselves in front of us, GHANA would have been a paradise. Why do people have to leave their homes to go and stand in the hot sun just because an MP is doing his/her campaign? It is sooo appalling. Lets wake up as a nation and contribute the little we can no matter where we find ourselves and Ghana can become a first world nation. We keep changing politicians but still WE SAY they are corrupt so it is not the "POLITICIANS" but rather "GHANAIANS". Let us change our attitude towards work, stop taking bribes, cutting corners to make ends meet and our country can become a paradise.

The man is shrewd, intuitive, kind, Godfearing, humble and respectable. Plus, he is not corrupt. Jon mahama is none of these and that alone makes him too old for the job of president. Talk of ex president Mills. The man was sick even before he was being sworn in as president. When he was giving his first speech, he fumbled many times at the swearing in ceremony. It is childish for anyone to compare Mills to Nana Addo. It is better to compare Mills to Jon Mahama because in truth, the two are corrupt and underperforming as president. The two are comparable to corruption to the greatest degree and are primary beneficiaries of Woyome's thievery, the institution of Gyeeda, Sada and Subah. Nana is the best and no other president can be compared to him, let alone, Mills or Jon Mahma.

But we need such people amongst Ghanaians to lead us to break out of the status quo. You are right SEKOU. The old politicians should be in parliament and share their experiences in fashioning the legislation needed for running the country instead. The president's job is a 24/7 job and needs a more energetic and younger person with a burning desire to bring about the requisite transformation for the country. If you are falling asleep all the time even during campaigns, then his is not the right job for you. Hopefully the NPP executives will vote with their hearts and not with their minds.

There are several aged presidents around the globe who are doing a terrific job. Look at what the so called young politicians have done to Ghana. I think common sense, dedication and a call to serve the people is what matters. We also need disciplined, incorruptible selfless people. Age per se does not matter in this regard.

Was the late Mills sick or not, because at some point in time, you came out to say that, he was sick and had throat cancer, and also, he had a problem with his sight and because of that the font size of his written speeches was very high. So was the Late Mills death which is what happened to his Presidency one of natural causes, due to old age, as a result of sickness or he was done in, because there's some allegation out there that a command was issued "to whack him"? An inquest into the causes of death of the Late Mills as of today is unknown, because at the time when well meaning and right thinking members of the Ghanaian society were calling for investigations into the cause of death of President Fiifi Atta Mills, to prevent it's future occurence by proactively taking measures, the NDC gov't said no. Indeed, Ghana's current Ambassador to the Netherlands, Dr. Tony Aidoo at the time said, and I quote "any person be it of Ghanaian origin who calls for an investigation into the death of the late President Mills is necrophilic" end of quote.
As it is, no Ghanaian up till this date knows the exact cause of death of the late Atta Mills, whether it was natural, as a result of old age, sickness/disease or he was done in by elements whose ulterior motives was anything but excellent.
Now, having said that in the context of the late President Atta Mills death and the circumstances surrounding it, in what context do you place this rather shallow argument that "old Akufo Addo cannot lead Ghana" because we cannot have a repetition of what happened under late President Mills, because suffice to note that, prior to President John Mahama being sworn in to complete the unexpired term of the late President Mills, the NDC gov't touted him as a re-incarnation of Kwame Nkrumah and the best President by far on the ticket of the NDC party. Indeed, the propagandist "green book" of which Ablakwa, Kwetey, Omane Boamah, Ofosu kwakye, Agyenim Boateng etc, etc, were spewing from like fanatical zealots, were to sing the praises and achievements of the late President Mills to the high heavens and justified it as unprecedented. So how then does Sekou Nkrumah contextualize his rantings within the context of these facts, because the late Mills at the time was advanced in age.
Again, to discount the issue of sickness/disease/old age on the part of Nana Akufo Addo, he has provided evidence of his good health having been issued with a clean bill of health by his medical team in the UK, absence of disease, regular medical check ups and his age not literally catching up with him, the only issue left for consideration would be the allegation of the command issued to "whack him" with reference to the late Mills. So would Sekou Nkrumah do Ghanaians the honours and expatiate on his statement to the effect that "old Akufo Addo cannot lead Ghana" inspite of the mountain of evidence to the contrary. Does Sekou Nkrumah have the evidence medically to back his statement that because of old age, sickness or disease, Nana Akufo Addo canot lead Ghana, or are we to take it that, the 4th alleged factor in the demise of the late Mills is going to be at play here? Sekou Nkrumah should support his position with facts and hard evidence instead of such empty rhetoric which can be likened to some of the over 70% WASSCE whose future is in dire straits for failing to make any head way under the failed John Mahama NDC gov't's policy on quality education.

Leadership is not a boxing tournament where has to beam with a lot of vigor.
It is essentially about DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY.He can make up for this seeming shortcoming through effective use of this leadership principle by choosing those with youthful exuberance who are honest,knowledgeable and wise.
A leader who understands and uses this principle effectively will not have to expend a great deal of energy of his own.
