The reason is All NDC officials, including Mahama, are corrupt and thieves and because Mahama cannot arrest, prosecute and jail himself, he wouldn't dare prosecute anybody. Surprisingly, innocent NPP sympathisers who are business men are being harassed and have their property confiscated. To me this is absurd and it looks as if either Mahama is not normal or he does not think properly.

Obviously the Banda DCE is very far away from the "grotto of corruption" or better still, quite a distance away from the Cave where Ali Baba and the forty thieves retire to sample their loot. If the Banda DCE knew the magical words, he would have shouted "open sesame" and just like breathing air which comes naturally to all living things, he would have been admitted to the "Cradle of corruption". It definitely goes to show that, even in the league of corruption, thievery and looting under the Mahama NDC gov't, there's favouritism.
Dr. Opuni formerly of FDB/FDA after his loot was shipped to Cocobod. Barton Odro after his loot was shipped to Parliament house, and the list could go on and on.
However the latest and freshest loot involved Afriyie Ankrah, who is leisurely ensconced and lapping it up in the "grotto of corruption".
The cloud and climate of corruption under the NDC gov't is a fanatical religion under the NDC gov't and the results are there for all to see. The Banda DCE is obviously a small fry and doesn't cut the tape in the elite squad of looting akin to Ali Baba and the forty thieves.

When it comes to corruption, NPP and its sympathizers have no moral right to pass comments about others. If no official of the former NPP government has been prosecuted for corruption then it only shows how cleverly they went about the act.

It is no secret that all our former presidents found it difficult to fight corruption. Former President Kufuor declared zero tolerance for corruption but he quickly changed it to 100% tolerance for corruption
( "corruption is as old as Adam") just to defend corrupt practices in his government.

All things being worst, Prez Mahama is at least trying to fight corruption in his government and as such deserve to be praised rather than to be condemned.

So let the NDC gov't with all the resources of state at it's disposal find the evidence of corruption and send those officials to court and prosecute them. In the absence of any such conviction which has been proved on countless occasions through the courts, please leave the propaganda and the infantile assertions to the dustbin of what exactly it is, propaganda.
President is at least trying to fight corruption in his gov't, when did he at least try?
When he presided over the corruption itself and defends it, where is the trying?
Did you hear of let's "maintain the status quo ante" when Merchant Bank was being parceled out like thick crust pizza?
The highest court of the land has said Woyome should bring the money, and Prez. Mahama was defending the loot, so where is the at least fighting corruption? Please give us a huge big break.

The Ghana Audit Service should be sent to every District in the country to audit their accounts and all corrupt officials should not only be sacked but should be prosecuted. Also, massive audit operations should conducted at all the ministries and government agencies to unravel the alleged endemic corruption in these public institution. The faster the government clean up the corrupt practices in the system, the better they stand a chance of winning the hearts and minds of the people, and possibly the upcoming elections.
