The Caption of this Article is not fair to Mr. Afoko. If the Paper claims and admits that its Editor directly inquired from Mr. Afoko if he pulled a gun on someone, and Mr. Afoko denied it, why would the Paper publish such a caption to mislead the Public that he did pull the gun?

That does not indicate a fair reportage by the Paper. It is not fair to Mr. Afoko. Had the Law Enforcement done any investigation to prove that Mr. Afoko did really pull the gun on someone, then the Paper could opt to use such a caption to reflect what the Law Enforcement claims to have found out.

As it is, Mr. Afoko has been pre-judged by the Paper's caption, which seems to have ignored his refutation to the allegation. It is detrimental to Mr. Afoko's reputation. This leaves me to think the Paper has a certain ulterior motive in publishing the news about this gun incident. Either it is simply capitalizing on the sensationalism to sell its copies, or eager to portray the NPP as a Party full of violence and chaos to give its opponents, especially, NDC, a reputational advantage.

I prevail on the NPP to settle its differences without further violence, and even if it loses the General Election, the Nation would benefit more from a stronger opposition.

Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong may not win elections for the NPP in 2016. The Tamale NPP Congress seems to have replaced efficiency with mediocrity as demonstrated by the recent happenings at the NPP party Headquarters.
With the managerial styles of the two firebrands at the party Headquarters, the NPP stand a good chance of being divided after the delegates congress to elect the party's Flag bearer in October. Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong haven't got what it takes to unite the party.
The NEC must sit up, and guide these two men to guard against the looming inevitability. Their managerial skills is suspect, and their managerial incompetence may throw the party into a political quagmire which the incompetent Mahama administration may benefit to their advantage.
If the NEC of the party fails to act with dispatch, what happened to the Progress Party prior to the 1969 elections would be replicated with dire consequences. The NEC must not renege on its responsibilities of uniting the party before and after the National delegates Congress to elect the Flag bearer this year. The NEC must be proactive to smother any potential incident that has the propensity to bring disunity into the party.
The NEC must ensure that the party Headquarters provide a level playing field for all aspirants, and that funds and materials controlled by the party Headquarters are released to support the Flag bearer without any inhibitions.
Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong must be made to sign an undertaking that they would support whoever emerges as the Flag bearer from the bottom of their hearts. If the two gentlemen give cause for supporters to believe that their actions are calculated to derail and undermine the ambitions and aspirations of a particular Flag bearer, then, they may not only need more body guards, but may have to wear steel helmet in all their outings.
A word to the wise, is enough!
