  The economic woes of our country can be attributed to Dr.Nkrumah's opportunistic tendency which saw Ghana as bedfellows of the defunct and poor USSR.
  Dr. Danquah and his team had the best ideas to harness our human and natural resources to develop Ghana.
  A free market economic system,a democratic system of government encompassing freedom of the press,the rule of law,freedom of speech,freedom of association,freedom to embark on a peaceful demonstration and the other concomitant human rights which are the foundation of a free society where the sky is one's limit.
  Socialism is only good as a safety net for the fall outs of the competition-based and stringent capitalist economic system.
  If John Mahama is really serious,he will embrace capitalism wholeheartedly.It holds the key to our economic prosperity.It is time to divest Ghana's share holdings in ALL the SOEs and have full privatization.
  Talks about revamping the Komenda Sugar Factory and the formation of another national airline are very discouraging(the planes will end up as restaurants in future,as has happened to Ghana Airways).It must be gorgeous eating breakfast,brunch,lunch or dinner in a restaurant in a museum-like jumbo jet with faded national glory.
  It appears that John Mahama has not learnt any lessons from Dr. Nkrumah's woefully-failed socialist policies.And why does he want to resurrect the Komenda Sugar Factory when the Pwalugu Tomato Factory has been ADVERSELY POSSESSED by maggots and reptiles?Is it not prudent to divert the resources for bringing the Komenda white elephant to life to Pwalugu to save the tomato factory which, obviously, will require less money and will be activated with the speed of lightning since everything is already in place?
  The appalling attitude of taking care of GOVERNMENT PROPERTY does not make it worthwhile to entertain such a wasteful venture. Please do not waste our resources.Ghana should not wallow in poverty for any conceivable reason.

Ghanaians will never accept the American brand of capitalism which preys on the poor.

  Meanwhile, America did not make China rich: China became rich because it has virtually become the manufacturer for the entire world. This is due to its huge popluation (ie 19% of world population) and it very low (and inhuman) production costs.
  
  In fact your statement "They will make us rich as has happened to the Chinese.." defeats all that you have written because : China is no where near capitalism, yet is the second richest country (by IMF, by World Bank and by CIA Fact Book) in the world!
  
  The fact is produce, sell; prodcuce, sell; produce, sell - whether socalism, communisim, capitalism you'll get rich.
