I don't see any of the four candidates none of whom even got 10 percent unseating Nana so it will be in the interest of the Party for the other candidates to voluntarily abandon their quest for the nomination and throw their support behind Nana for the unity of the party.

Mahama and his atrocious administration should be our target for 2016. Ghanaians are looking for an alternative to this create, loot and share corrupt useless government and it should be the duty of all elephant family members to ensure that the Mahama government is kicked out.

I totally disagree with him and all his executive officers for going to hold another congress which would not elect any different presidential candidate than the ardent, affable, courageous, loyal and patriotic Nana Akuffo Addo who always sends shivers down the throat of NDC. I suggest to him to call emergency meeting to avert hosting yet another congress in October 18. It is a waste of time and finance and I don't think a party that's crying of financial woes shouldn't misuse money this way. NPP should safe the scanty money they have and use it to prepare fervently toward election 2016 in order to match this criminal and thieves, NDC boot for boot. Kwabena Agyepon, learn to know that laws are enacted by human-beings and it is the same human-beings who revoke, expunge and reform the constitution thus NPP can amend certain provisions of their so-called party constitution which is currently polarized and too rigid. Maybe, their constitution is written for ghosts in graveyard, not for people living on earth. When at all can these NPP leaders think well? Can they really govern Ghana if they win power from NDC in 2016? Just look at the several in-house fightings in their party and just see how they are holding 2 congresses which don't make sense.

It is actually destroying NPP before our eyes. Politics can be dirty; but it is also a gentleman’s pursuit. When John Major lost the 1997 election to the Labour party, he quickly resigned honourably. And he was replaced by the witty Yorkshire man William Hague. He also could not make any serious dent in the fortunes of the labour party and resigned immediately after the 2001 election. Iain Duncan Smith took over and his poll numbers were so bad he was not even allowed to contest a general election in his own right. He resigned, and his place was taken by Michael Howard. Howard also lost the 2005 general election and he swiftly accepted responsibility and threw in the towel – making way for David Cameron, the current British Prime Minister.

Similar trends occurred in America from 2000 onwards. When Al Gore lost to George Bush, though his claim of ‘I was robbed’ had serious legitimacy, he did not seek the Democratic nomination again. John Kerry took a shot in 2004 and lost again to Bush and he also did not come back. Similar demeanour was displayed by John McCain. Why is it so different in Ghana? This is the fundamental flaw in our psychic, which translates into the difficulty we have in our developmental efforts. It is not only the police man who takes bribe or the corrupt government minister that is destroying us, but this stubborn attitude encapsulates all these vices. Ghanaians don’t owe anybody the presidency. Mr Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, you have tried your best; however, it was not good enough. Just give way for someone else. It is an honourable thing to do if you love NPP and your country Ghana. Your lingering presence is becoming fatal to NPP and Ghana in general. This is the time the party needs to counter all the hogwash excuses being offered by the government, which the voters in the villages strangely believe. Kindly do the honourable thing. Throw in the towel to save NPP and Ghana from the voracious appetite of this gangster government.

There is also no where in the party constitution that says when one secures 80 or 90 percent of the special pool, there should be no need for Congress. why are they trying to twist the other candidates hands to accept decisions that is not constitutional. To me it is an insult to them and ungrateful on the part of the party. As if Nana Addo owns the party, didn't he contest Kuffour again though Kuffour was already marketed?. To me, even if the rest of the contestant got one percent, the congress must come on. financial aspects should have been discussed when they were drawing the constitution.

Why do you unnecessarily have to be so legalistic? If 7 people contested for 100% votes and 6 people could not even obtain just 20% votes, there is every indication that your people don't want any of them. Even if the 6 shared 50% you may probably not worry yourself depending upon the margins. Now Nana had a little over 80% and the candidate that you so think people like had only 59 as compared with Nana's over 500 votes. Can't you apply these mathematical figures and make simple predictions at least based on your knowledge in Business Math that you read at the High School? Kwabena, tell your 6 candidates that the less than 20% votes they had is very disappointing, disgracing and highly portrays that their time is not ripe yet. NPP leaders, you are too ambitions! Eschew your unnecessary ambitions and controversies at the executive level and better team up to bring NDC down. Alan it's not surprising that you amassed only 8% but very disgracing too. This is an indication that the people don't want you now. You are the strongest part of the confusion and dissension in the NPP party. Your Nana is already popular, kindly team up and push him. Try also to be vigilant on possible rig by NDC in 2016 elections. NDC has no stronger and better policies, ideologies and wisdom to help the economy.
