The important issue is control.Government holds minority direct interest in SIC and GCB but it tightly controls them.

We do not want the government holding any shares/stocks WHATSOEVER and taking part in any shareholders meetings and influencing the appointment of chief executives whose tenure can be ended instantly with a radio announcement ...
