My problem with ATUGUBA regarding the 2012 election petition isn't about the verdict but about the administration and control of the whole process.
The circumstances leading to ATUGUBA'S disrespectful behaviour on the final day was the concomitant of of his lack of administrative skills. His failure administrative, he wanted to counteract through bullying and show of legal power via Contempt of Court. But eventually my fears were realised. Now Ghanaians are paying the price for that failure.

From 1951 till 6 March 1957, NLM/UP never accepted any elections results. In that period, Dr Nkrumah tolerated more than 5 elections because his opposition cried foul when they were defeated. When it was not possible anymore, Dr Busia and Dr Danquah petitioned the Queen to suspend Ghana's independence because they were not in power. It's no wonder Agyarko is pointing fingers. Would it had matter if Atuguba had spent 24 hours to deliver verdict? NPP's reasons of going to SC was dead immediately Nana Addo gave a press conference after submission of their petition. Everyone knows Nana Addo went to court to enable him get his grip on the party which he succeeded. But majority of neutral people know Nana Addo had a weak case. NPP must grow up and stop this balderdash and also stop wasting our ears.

I believe what Agyarko would consider respectful to Ghanaians was for Justice Atuguba to have declared his preferred candidate the winner of the 2012 election.
Incidentally, the SC made it crystal clear that they don't declare the winner of an election because that is the constitutional duty of the EC. Imagine in the NPP petition the SC ruled that the petitioners won the election as against the declaration of the EC. This will effectively mean that every subsequent election will surely be followed by an election petition. This can ditch Ghana's democracy in that, counting of votes is of no relevance. So the SC was careful not to interfere with the EC.
That is why even the minority of the 9 judges who were convinced that there were irregullarities in the election, did not cancel the votes involved as demanded by the petitioners to declare their candidate the winner. Instead, they ordered that the elections be re-run at the polling stations affected. If this were the majority decision, it would mean that, the EC would run fresh elctions at all polling stations affected and after that make a recompilation of results and declare the winner. This means that the possibility of the SC ever declaring the winner of an election is out of the question. Indeed the SC acted wisely.

Prepare for another lost in 2016 for Akuffo-Addo is a perpetual loser. The NPP had the right and the opportunity to appeal the decision and to demand a review of the verdict. Nana knew what the outcome was going to be for they had no case. Is like a defends lawyer of a murderer who knows very well that his client is guilty yet, he already told the client to plead innocent. He says to him,, well we will lose but let's make the prosecutors and the victim look back to the public. That was what the legal team of NPP petitioners told them. They new they had no case but the majority of Ghanaians have little know of law and just follow party pronouncements.
Besides, the legal team is being hunted by their pretenses and concoctions about the results and what they intended to cover the eyes of the public with. This Agyarko guy needs to learn how to win votes for his boss, Akufo-Addo. He also needs to respect the SC. Atuguba may still be at the Court, the next time around. And such blatant baseless disdain and public humiliation of a sitting SC Judge could amount to Contempt of Court.

Meanwhile, Agyarko seems to be attempting to retrieve a win for lost case via Public sentiments. He should not speak as if only those who side with him on issues are Ghanaians, and all others do not belong to the Country.

Atuguba was supposed to read the Verdict without any obvious display of passion, one way or the other. If he had delivered the verdict in any passionate way, his demeanor would still have been criticized by folks like Agyarko, anyway.

As a Judge that sat on the case, the best way he could present the verdict was plain, blunt, and unemotional. There was no need for frills, and, say, a long lecture to accompany the verdict. Neither did Atuguba have to be theatrical about his presentation. He was assigned to make an announcement and that was all he did.

This attitude of second guessing people, and reading intentions into others' appearances and even demeanor
is playing to people's emotions. That is dangerous politicking.

It is obvious that Agyarko sees a certain swell of emotions against the NDC within NPP when the loss of 2012 Elections is invoked. So, he has to put someone's face on the blame. And Atuguba has become his choice for blaming the loss on.

The truth, however, is that Justice Atuguba was not a sole Judge on the case, and there were others who voted along with him on the majority decision. How come only Atuguba receives all the crap from folks like Agyarko? Atuguba did not force any Judge to vote along with him.

I am also baffled by the claim of Agyarko's that all Ghanaians were insulted by Atuguba's mode of delivering the verdict. How did Agyarko come to that conclusion? Such a claim tends to be a glaring lie that even ridicules the campaign efforts of this man. Is he telling us that those NDC members who benefited from the verdict as their man, Mahama, was adjudged the winner of the Elections, also should have felt offended by the way Atuguba announced the verdict? Does Agyarko think these folks would care how the verdict was delivered so long as they won?

This shows this Campaign Manager is not covering his grounds well at all. If he intends to deploy negativity in blasting the NDC off the winning track, he may have to learn from the likes of Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., who I admit has the eloquence and the relevant punch that impact more on the opposition.
