The ugandan defence got pressured and that resulted in the ref calling a very bias penalty for Ghana. That was the difference. Uganda outplayed ghana for 92mknuyes. And had more shots on goal than Ghana. The refund gifted ghana with a free penalty in the earlier minutes of the second half. Had Uganda. Played their usual 442 counter attack and stayed disciplined that way after halftime. Uganda would be going home with the full 3pts.

The records also shows that Ghana had won 4 African Cup with only a Ghanaian in charge and no country had won the world cup with a foreign coach. The only way we can develop and move forward is to trust one of our own. Akwesi Appiah had failed we do not have to reward him with more money we should have replaced him with an award winner coach like Tetteh and not to go after a rejected Serbian to become an Advisor. Bring a second class foreign coach would not solve our problems first of all Kwesi Nyantakyi's GFA must accepted responsibility for what happened in the 2014 WC and stop the blaming game. We cannot afford to get rid of Muntari. He was our best player in Brazil and he always fights and gives his 100% for Ghana. He is a world class midfielder and all his passes are economical. His technical ability is very good and we will lick our own wounds if we let this coach retire him from international duties.

His punch to Moses Armah’s face should have been more powerful as his left foot shots, and as clinical as his defence splitting passes.

The coach is the weakest link in our team.

From what I saw, once the Uganda goalie made a few critical saves, Uganda got confident and Ghana lost a little spark. After the Ayew Penalty my transmission was quite spotty so I missed much of the second half.

Can't we face the fact that the pre-Brazil reputation of the BLACK STARS was due to the hard work dedication and experience of Stephen Appiah, Muntari, Essien, Laryea, John Mensah among others? When you're playing at home against a well organised opponents on a hard pitch, you've got to set traps for them, you've got to bait them to attack you so that they fall into your traps, that is why when playing at home, your training emphasis should be on defensive organisation and counter attack because at home you'd always have the chance to score. You also got to make your big man or men upfront work hard to create a front in the opponents defense for you to use as a secure outlet to attack. More importantly we've got try to make every space count but what were we doing? We were just trying to play European football on a hard African pitch with slow rythm. When we were running out spaces, we did not want to even use speed-play as strategy to create spaces for ourselves in the last third and exploit with utmost professionalism. I just don't know why Akwasi Appiah keeps playing useless low tempo, open football that makes it easier for well drilled opponents to strike why it hurts. You can play like that when you're training but you can't play like that when you are playing a match where only strategy and precision makes the difference.

On what grounds can he call Adoma, Solomon Asante, Agyeman Badu and a host of others (Boye and Opare included) and leave out Frank Acheampong and Clifford Aboagye, Assafuah ? GHANAsoccernet.com, you seem to be saying that the Cranes' goal against the Black Stars was an own goal by John Boye, the defender. If this is correct, then it's very unfortunate indeed. We should recall that it was this same John Boye who scored Ghana's own goal in the 2-1 loss match against Portugal in Brazil 2014. Any defender who can do something like this in two successive very competitive matches doesn't deserve to be fielded again in another match. He must be a very bad defender indeed to allow this kind of terrible situation to occur twice. Whatever mistake he made is too costly to allow him to play again for the Black Stars.

It was his positioning that allowed Germany to score the first goal and prevented Dauda from making a clean safe leading to Ronaldo's only goal at the WC 2014.
