The current state of the country as a whole is the outcome of ewes infiltrating a government they came to meet since trans-volta togoland. we'll be better off without them marginalizing non-ewe tribes.

It seems to me that petitioner Mr Wellington Tetteku did not qualify for CAP 30 pensions because , as a messenger by 1972, he was not a pensionable officer by CAP 30 standards. In July 1965 when Social Security was introduced in Ghana, pensionable offices were exempted and low ranking officers and all other workers in Ghana were made to join THE SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEME and to availed themselves of Social Security protection which they did not have previously; but which was available in some form to pensionable officers under Cap 30.
In 1972 the NRC government made Social Security compulsory to both pensionable and non-pensionable officers and so all workers in Ghana, both government and non-government (except the Army)started to contributed Social Security. However, in 1975 options were given for persons who were pensionable as at 1972 to opt to go back to Cap.30. This exemption did not affect people like Mr Tetteku who were of lower ranks, non-pensionable and, therefore, remained with the Social Security Scheme.

If he became pensionable by the promotion to the of post an accounts assistant in 1975, then if even he took advantage of the options given pensionable officer to go back to Cap 30, he may be lucky to be considered under Cap. 30 because technically he was not pensionable by 1972 (the last year when people who were pensionable were given that option to return to Cap.30).
If he did not exercise the option, then because he was by 1972 not pensionable, he would be deemed to be with SSNIT.

In any case, I stand to be corrected on any of the things I've said, but I pray the media to give us full proceedings of the Commission, especially the reason for its judgement.

Our Pension and Social Security contributions were invested in a Merchant previously owned by the Social Security bank, from where Ibrahim Mahama had over US$500 million loan of which only US$229 million was paid back. The sale of the Merchant Bank was challenged in court as improper for the paltry sale price. The outcome of this illegal sale of the bank is the near bankruptcy of the Merchant bank which was resold by SSNIT for a paltry sum of US$190 million to NDC cohorts and the action was defended by NDC sympathizers in court led by Tony Lithur not quite one year ago.

One of the ramifications of the sale of the Merchant bank, then owned by SSNIT, for "dongomi' to a cluster of NDC supporters is the inability to pay pensions and social security of workers when they fall due.

Please note that I am not trying to politicize the issue; these assertions are true FACTS we all read here on Ghanaweb, not quite a year ago.

anybody that pay income tax in usa would get a pension..then disable people can get check even if never worked..look at the illegal immigrants from mexico in usa...they get their food stamps and medical for free...
