Yes, WHO has said it's a "global threat", but does that mean countries should not do anything to prevent it because it's a "global threat"? Many countries have set up quarantine facilities to handle any affected individual that enters its territory. Stop thinking that because Nana Akufo Addo is a politician anything he says is an attempt to play politics.

Strange suggestion! How can the Government prevent Ebola from entering Ghana? Close all sea entries so that Ghanaian fishermen from Liberia cannot enter? Close the bush roads so that the Abrongs from Cote d'Ivoire cannot cross to Brong Ahafo in Ghana? Even through the airports, it is impossible to catch all Ebola infected persons because the disease has 21 days incubation period. That's what makes it so dangerous. Even before family members are aware, they would all be exposed. Unless Akuffo Addo was misquoted, this suggestion is impractical. Government can do much to contain its fast spread in Ghana and to treat those who might be infected. But to prevent Ebola from entering? That is practically impossible. No country can do so.

Instead, they used medical, scientific, observation and control of hygeinic methods to fight. In Liberia, they declared national days of prayers to combat the disease yet, they continue to die in their numbers.

Akufo Addo has lived most of his youthful and adult life in UK but behaves typical like the vilager. Government don't do everything but citizens and communities undertake good environmental policies to keep their surrondings clean. You don't throw rubbish around and expect AMA to clean up because you pay tax and levies. You'll be arrested if you do that. Akufo Addo should tell us what he will do differently if he were the President and stop the blah blah blah about praying against ebola.
