National airline indeed... Ghana international/ the government of Ghana failed to give people like me our refund when it went burst... What make them think they can create another one fit for the bosses and their mistresses.

The economy is hitting workers hard and many families have run-out of ideas.

It does not mean that we should be doing what other people are doing. For check and balances gov't functionaries must pay from state funds to the airline and for the airline to make profit for the state. From our owne stupidity we colapse the airlines and start complaining that the airlines have colapsed.

Just like those calling for nuclear energy for Ghana, similarly those pushing for new airline are motivated solely by national pride and not any consideration of making profit for the county.

Has the Deputy Transport Minister, Madam Bawa Motgari, really given thought to the millions of dollars paid out as insurance money to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent Malaysian Airlines tragedies ?

Isn't it interesting that all the dubious announcements are first floated by Deputy Ministers, and not the real sectorial ministers?

If we have money to spend, let's spend it on building more and better hospitals, improving our education system, bringing our renewable energy sources to 21st century standards, improving our highways, water ways and railways, and ensuring that every village in the country has potable water.

Manama's administration needs to understand that Better Ghana resides in fulfilling the above, and not in some dubious uneconomic airline.

Discerning Ghanaians are watching!

Ghana presently is too poor to indulge in this kind of venture, period
