  We will advise ourselves at the next election. We will not rest our hope in Atuguba Supreme Court of Ghana to decide the faith of Ghana.
  The people will protect the ballot boxes with our blood. The world belongs to both the poor as well as the rich, we will not allow the rich to Lord it over us.

Incidents like putting ballot boxes with uncounted votes in police stations should not be allowed to happen ever again. The committee of parties and the EC should agree on how they will treat those issues which were the basis for the petition if they occur again. No verification no vote should be just that. The EC cannot change it on the day of the ballot. If those things which clearly allows any party to cheat happens again with the blessing of the EC, he should be prosecuted

  The is no need for any reforms in Ghana.
  NPP should not hide behind Elecoral Reforms for their 2012 defeat in the election.
  MAY BE THE NPP WANT THE COUNTING OF THE BALLOT PAPERS TO TAKE PLACE AT THEIR HEADQUARTERS.

  The EC has not come from a foreign country or planet to impose its will on Ghanaians. They are working according to the laid down rules under their mandate. If we feel strongly that the rules must change, we have to call for the change in a civilised manner. A recommendation by the supreme court does not change the existing rules.... it is just a mere recomendation and has not yet been aproved to be part of the existing rules. Afari Gyan cannot apply the recomendation on his own; there must be a national consensus before any change can be made.

  The problem with Ghanaian pseudo lawyers is that they interpret things according to whether it favours the political party they belong to or not. What Prempeh is saying is what pertains, like it or not. U don't just wake up to implement reforms because your party is not in power. this is a national issue and should have input from all Ghanaians, be they NDC, NPP, PP, etc. or neutral.

  I think this US nomenclature of calling a lecturer ASSISTANT PROFESSOR and these guys coming to parade Ghana corridors using the title PROFESSOR is very misleading. The reason is that some of the utterances of some of these so-called Ghana US professors are so infantile that one wonders whether they ever took any courses in Critical Thinking I remember the case on "Professor" Ofuatey Kudjo who came down from the US to tell Ghanaians that Kutu Acheampong's Union Government was so good Ghanaians should embrace it; this was at a time he could see clearly that a large majority of Ghanaians opposed the idea rather vigorously. In the present case, Professor Prempeh is saying that EC is not obligated to effect any reforms because the recommendations were mere suggestions of some members of the panel. What the learned Professor has failed to understand is that it was the sum-total of the recommendations of the same bench that culminated in the victory decision for the NDC. This is common sense. So we should accept the decision and ignore the recommendations so next time EC appears like a fool in court? Please let us try and justify the degrees we hold so that elementary school boys and girls do not get the chance to question our worth as PhD holders and "Professors".

  What I deduce from prof Henry Kwesi Prempeh s statement on election reforms makes me think that,too much education sometimes makes people to behave like they are out of their minds.How can a whole professor makes such statement to contradict himself.1,That the supreme court held no allegation against the EC 2,that the EC is not under any obligation to carry out any reforms.3 It would not be prudent if the EC would not heed the calls for reforms. Is it not circumlocotion of statements he has vomited out for poor Ghanaians to smell the stink of it\.If he is on summer holidays in Ghana I wish him well but he should stop medling himself with such a highly sensitive political issue.

Its not the duty of the court to carry out reforms but to empower and support the EC to better the system. Ghana bought the equipment from the Eu and even they came out to declare that the equipment and its process was fallible and that's why those checks and balances were brought in. Since the EC failed to regulate and enforce those checks and balances, there has to be a reform.
