Tamale International Airport does not make any economic sense. This is political decision and not economic. Who is going to fly to Tamale apart from the three Northern region natives?

Don't believe the hype that Burkinabees and Malians will fly to this airport. There are not many Northerners living abroad to make this Airport viable and economically profitable.

Another white elephant like the Tamale Sports stadium. There are few hotels in the Tamale environs to even cater for few passengers. Do you remember when we havethe Africa cup there and there was lack of hotel rrooms to accommodate the teams that played their games there?

Tamale might need an International airport in ten years time not now. Hardly will people from the three regions I mentioned will travel through Tamale Airport.

I know the Tamale Sports stadium was built by the Kufuor Npp government but that does not make it right.

Tamale is the gateway to the Sahel countries.

When people are dying from cholera and hospitals are not working good bcos of lack of what is needed in the facilities, this president is still missing the target, how are people going to fly when they are not working, when they can't put food on the table, indeed this president is clueless and behaving like Jonny just come.Mr president fix the economy, health, education, electricity, water, fuel and give the youth work to do and stop the unnecessary promises and cutting of dods bcos they are of no interest to nobody, airport can't buy you votes when the people are hungry and dying, when the hospitals lack everything to let people survive, when dumsor, dumsor is still alive, when people have no good drinking water and the cost of living is high are they going to eat the airport? With our oil, gas, mining, timber and cocoa industries, the harbours and the tourist potential of our beaches, it would make economic sense to build an international airport in Takoradi.

It would also cater for Cape Coast with its educational institutions, beaches, sites of historic importance and the rest of the Central region which are just over an hour's drive away.
