Here was Nana Akufo: “I call on members of the party [NPP] to embrace change in leadership of the party. Such changes are far from harming the fortunes of the party. Change improves the chances of political parties as a new face eventually means new ideas, new methods and new strategies…any candidate elected as the NPP's flag-bearer has already secured 30% of the total valid votes. Failure to garner the remaining 20% plus 1 means the candidate has failed, and therefore must be changed” (ref: Ghana Daily Graphic, October 8, 1998). If John Kufuor back then did not deserve to be nominated for the second consecutive time, why is it okay now for Nana Akufo-Addo to seek the party’s nomination the third consecutive time, having led NPP to two painful electoral defeats in 2008 and 2012? The choking colossal loans supposedly expended on markets,schools and on and on and on should have seeped through the economy as incomes to STIMULATE the consumption of goods and services to rekindle more production and create jobs for the teaming unemployed school graduates.Despite the huge loans,the jobs are not there.Inflation has taking a refuge on Mt. Afadjato.It cannot be reached.So where is the money?We require an item by item account of how those loans are being utilized.
I do not believe that those who are so concerned about the mismanagement of our human and natural resources by John Mahama and the NDC are doomsayers.Apart from being so alarmed by the gigantic loans and the nothing- to-show for situation,those thumbs down policies affect our individual lives as Ghanaians. For instance, the depreciation of the Ghc has wiped out the trading capital of many and has burdened others with additional mortgage payments emanating from the indexation of mortgages to the USD(all because of John Mahama and Dr. Kofi Wampah). The problem in the horizon waiting to drop down are houses whose values are under the mortgages.Should the mortgage companies make the mistake of foreclosing these houses,there will be a housing bubble to worsen our plight.
If i were President John Mahama,i would not beat my chest and dance to any melodious tune over expectations.
Waiting for the president's promises to come to fruition is like waiting for the ten virgins.

How long do we have to suffer before your solutions become a reality? Disappointment? Sure we are. With all the resources at our disposal, we should not have gotten this low. The one mistake we made was, choosing a blind man to lead us into a blurring light forgetting the blind cannot see the light. He feels only the heat and asks, is it fire or sunshine? When his equally semi blind advisers tell him it's sunshine, he takes off his shoes and screams 'I told you we'll get there' Little does he know they have burning charcoal in front of him to burn his feet. Mr President, we wish you put on those shoes and start kicking some asses to lead you toward the real light we're all craving to see. Dreaming is not going to help. When we can touch and feel what we believe is advancement, we will sing your praises so loud even the deaf will hear and join in the chorus. God bless you, and help make your wish a reality.
