You couldn't have said it better, John. It appears the judge was more concerned with the impersonation aspect of the case than the more serious crime of rape.

According to the medical report,the Sex was unprotected (no condom was used),that means he risked the life of the lady to HIV infection,if any.The victim suffered swelling in the right thigh and groin, a torn hymen (virginity broken), and some discharges from the "18 box".
The Magistrate ,Eric Adjei fined the rapist Gh 480 Cedis about ($112) or in default 6 months in jail,ordered to signed a Bond to be of good behavior for one year or in default, serves 2
years in jail.
My question is :Is this kind of a Banana republic Sentence, Justice !
Do Women in the Country has any form of real Justice ? To be honest with all and sundry, I'm appalled and ashamed to be a Ghanaian.
The nation Ghana with all her Noise has nothing to show(proud of). Not even with our laws.Or, is it as a result of bribery and corruption. SHAME to the Court and Culprit.
I think the victim(lady) is denied Justice !
Isn't it the same Tema Magistrate Court which wants to let go a killer !
Do the bosses of that Magistrate Eric Adjei know that he has to be investigated and brought to book ?. Anyway

THIS PUNISHMENT IS NOT GOOD AT ALL, WHY, DID HIM BRIBE THE JUDGES,I WAS THINKING THAT U ARE GOING TO GIVE HIM A FINE ROAM SUMS OF AT LEAST 5000,OO OR GO TO JAIL FOR 5YRS.
HE WILL DO IT AGAIN.
