  On the MoFA website Eastern Region is not listed as one of the regions suitable for the production of Oil Palm. Such distrimination must come to an end.
  
  The Bank of Ghana (BOG) has no Eastern Regional headoffice. The BOG must ask for land from the King of Akyem (Okyehene) to construct this building. I don´t believe that the BOG has accurate data of the economic activity in the at least 12 Akyem districts which make up more than half the population on the region. The GDP and GNI of these Akyem districts are very high. They stem from:
  
  Gold mining
  Diamond mining
  Cocoa
  Oil Palm (the largest in West Africa)
  Timber
  Software development
  etc
  
  The money supply and capital in the at least 12 Akyem districts are wholly inadequate. BOG must remove impediments to the setting up of rural banks in these districts and encourage ADB and GCB to open branches in these districts.
  
  The government must further ensure that wholly owned Ghanaian banks, including rural banks, get at least 80% of the banking revenue.

  With people at Cocoabod,and fashion policies that would stem the tide of huge smuggling activities now taking place at our border with the CDI!
  Let these extension officers devote their time to teaching our farmers,particularly the young ones, the proper use of agro-chemicals to improve yields and control crop diseases/infestations!
  This Australian junket,should be geared towards Agric instructors at the Kwadaso College and faculty members at our universities,who train these extension/technical officers,in the first place!
