Is this not how money has been wasted in a costly stadium there? This will be another white elephant. Currently there is no industrial or economic activity in the north that can sustain the $100 million that is being wasted on such a futile and useless effort. That money would have done better for stretching the railway line from Kumasi and building food storage warehouses, and commercial farming along the Kumasi-Tamale railway/road corridor. Instead u have done a useles thing. How many people from Tamale can pay their light bills. let alone afford international travel? Even northerners graduates refuse to serve national service in THEIR OWN REGION! That should tell you the the place is not attractive. Yet the idiot president throws a lot of money in such a useless thing.

Mahama, why haven't you settled the Ghana International Airways passengers refund claims but trying to operate airline? The whole case looks "fishy" to me. How many Ghanaians will buy tickets and lose money again?.

I always wonder why we should accept international airport at tamale and stadium at Cape coast when we need good road and rail systems. speaking about benefiting the youth, will a god road and rail system not be a better option at least to initiate? Interesting, these kinds of political promises come in from both sides. Promising flagship project with little economic benefits when we could promise programmes that would make Ghana progressive

There is something always in names.
Whether Andani or Abudu they both at on point or another would converge in the Gbewa palace. Therefore name the airport Gbewa International Airport (GIA-TAMALE).
