  Gold --- $1400 per oz
  Diamond --- from $1500 to $150,000 per carat (Market price)
  Bauxite --- $150 per mt
  Manganese --- $450 per tonne
  
  Akyem districts make up more than half of the population of the Eastern Region.
  
  Even though today diamond production from Akyem has stopped temporarily Akyem districts must be given their fair share of projects. Discrimination against Akyems districts has been going on for at least the last forty years.

What about Ghana that has lost its control and ownership of both the diamond and the gold mining to the foreign companies like AngloGold etc? Prof Busia did good by kicking the parasites out of the country especially the Nigerian smugglers and Niggers which brought the Baba Jamals to Ghana as citizens. Then Acheampong, Akuffo(SMC1&2),Dr Leman and lastly the doom and gloom killers PNDC which came as wolves in the sheep skin to ascend to the throne to destroy all respect for the elders. Blame the Kuffuor and Sam Jonah for selling the shares to the Anglos so that Jonah would eventually become SIR and profitted financially to the loss of GHANA as a nation. Don't think only Akyems has suffered but the whole Ghana has been taken for a ride, MISTER.
