Let me remind all the NPP members the argument Nana Akufo-Addo made at the party’s Congress in Sunyani in 1998 in his opposition to giving candidate John Agyekum Kufuor the second chance after losing to Rawlings in 1996. Here was Nana Akufo: “I call on members of the party [NPP] to embrace change in leadership of the party. Such changes are far from harming the fortunes of the party. Change improves the chances of political parties as a new face eventually means new ideas, new methods and new strategies…any candidate elected as the NPP's flag-bearer has already secured 30% of the total valid votes. Failure to garner the remaining 20% plus 1 means the candidate has failed, and therefore must be changed” (ref: Ghana Daily Graphic, October 8, 1998). If John Kufuor back then did not deserve to be nominated for the second consecutive time, why is it okay now for Nana Akufo-Addo to seek the party’s nomination the third consecutive time, having led NPP to two painful electoral defeats in 2008 and 2012? Well, it seems like Nana Akufo-Addo is getting ready to take NPP to the electoral slaughterhouse in 2016 all over again. Let the self-denials ignore the warnings

Can anyone worth his salt spew such ridiculous statements as been done by those from Alan Kyeremateng's camp.

People must delude themselves that Alan has good intentions. Anyone with eyes and ears that seeks truth should know that there is a serious conspiracy to undermine Akufo Addo.

If Kufuour is accused to be part of the gang scheming then the recent outburst from Anane and others sums it all.

It is now crystal clear that all that has been happening in the NPP has a direct source. And the source of losing could now be traced to the door-step of the former President.

Now the whole truth is out of the bag.

Notwithstanding the scheming, Akufo Addo will triumph. It is sickening to hear and learn that the toils of the grassroots are made in vain owing to sycophancy ism and cronyism. Kufuour must be ashamed of himself.

I'm beginning to see through, appreciate and understand what some NDC supporters said of him, that Kufuour is serious vindictive.

I have maintained that I prefer to be a floating (scientific) voter and that I will not sell my conscience for money (good name is better than riches. I want to be poor with a good name). However, there is nothing wrong to be part of any organization like a political party but in a party where certain ethnic individuals believe they are the repository of wisdom, meaning they are the only group of people endowed by God with wisdom is not accepted and will never be accepted.
I am naturally an Nkrumaist but do not belong to any of the parties claiming allegiance to the late Osagyefo. As long as these parties remain divided and independent instead of coming together to implement the ideas and wisdom of Nkrumah because of selfishness, I will never give any of them my support.
On the flipside, I respect lots of individuals in the NPP though I have never had admiration for that party. Among these individuals are the lates Hawah Yakubu and Baah Wiredu, all of blessed memory. It is not the dead alone I admire but I have lots of admiration for Nana Akufo Addo also. But I am yet to appreciate the offense Akufo Addo has committed against the group seemingly coming from Ashanti.
I know that people born in March are generally uncompromising when it comes to doing the right thing and adherence to rules. Could it be this position which is making this group unsafe especially to having their way?
I want to assure Akufo Addo that many of us who are not party members do admire him and will support him to achieve victory in October. I am seriously contemplating the idea of resigning my job in the bank to have time to join him in this arduous task.
Let me also use this opportunity to assure the perpetrators of Akufo Addo that they will also meet the same force when it gets to their turn in the future as long as we live.
