Everything he does we see it including all the NPP friends he has been corresponding with. For his information, in Ghana only the judiciary is allowed to settle issues of drugs and not the executive. Maybe he should use his unholy links with Georgina Woods to get those drug lords convicted. The executives are not in position to convict anybody even with a perfect case. Only the judiciary can order that

The background to all this was the fact that mahama was the subject of an investigation set up by the late president to investigate the inflated prices of an aircraft deal negotiated by mahama on behalf of Ghana. The investigation committee has been dissolved by the mahama government.
Asiedu Nketia also did not apply democratic principles when he unilaterally declared mahama as the only presidential candidate. Those who questioned the validity were vilified paving the way for mahama to stand alone. We then hear from a then government minister that bribes were paid to judges to declare mahama as victor in the general elections. No serious effort was made to investigate
Now whilst all this is merely circumstantial, it is still strong enough suspicion for the security services to investigate and get to the bottom of. Bellesconi an Italian gangster ruled Italy now it looks like we have our very own Bellesconi in Ghana

Aside from propaganda as we have come to understand the use of the term promise by the President, this NDC Government cannot fulfill the basic requirement of social democracy to ensure the egalitarian wellbeing of its citizens by protecting them against the menace of drug trafficking and consumption." by Martin Amidu.
President Mahama is just the chief of propaganda, but we do not use propaganda to run a nation or anything. We need hard work and dedication. It is sad the the real people of any value like Martin is speaking from the sideline.
Ghana needs people of character Martin Amidu, Akufo-Addo,Dr.Bawumia etc. Real men of substance to lead Ghana. Dr. Nduom is another one.
Someday Ghana will get there but not with the corrupt Mahama as her head.

I cannot believe that Mr Samuel Nerquaye-Tetteh is now the regional head of Ministry of Justice and Attorney General's Department. He has been given a licence to make more money and let criminals get away with murder.

The matters raised in Martin's article scares the hell out of me. They are very serious indictment on the justice system in Ghana. It's obvious President Mahama only talks and promises to do this and that with no action to support his promises. For example, in 2012, he came out with some funny idea of establishing Public Reporting Centres across the country for the public to report corruption. What happened to that idea? Why set up another bureaucracy to waste money instead of investing the money in existing agencies such as CHRAJ and the police to strengthen them?

Martin, you are absolutely right the Mahama NDC government is not serious about fighting drugs and corruption.

Amidu's sincerity and love for Ghana is so commendable. Yet he is part of the NDC whose members in government are raping this country without shame. For whatever reason we have a President who does not see anything wrong with what is going on in the country. More so surprising is the deafening silence of the apostle of probity and accountability, Jerry Rawlings. He still sees corruption in Kuffour and Mills but not in Mahama and his current administration. What a person? Or are they both compromised? Look at what is going on at the Commission on the Black Stars. So people do not have any fear or shame again when they are plainly thieving in the glare of the public. And they come to the commission,cry and go away and assume new positions in government. I declare that God who sees all hidden things will expose and punish all those whose only interest in being in government is to rob and steal to enrich themselves whilst the majority of Ghanaians whose mandate brought them into power wallow in abject poverty and suffering. Anything ill-gotten has a bad success!!

You were one time the Attorney Genera, a senior member of NDC and a legally trained person. Above all, you are a Ghanaian citizen so what is your contribution for a better Ghana. Amidu I think Ghanaians would like you to be rather constructive in your views. The President needs every Ghanaian's contributions to advance Ghana. This has nothing to do with whether Mahama is committed to fighting drugs or not. Who makes those appointments and transfers? To the best of my knowledge it is not the politicians but the civil servants. Why would you then link all these issues to government?
