Let me remind all the NPP members the argument Nana Akufo-Addo made at the party’s Congress in Sunyani in 1998 in his opposition to giving candidate John Agyekum Kufuor the second chance after losing to Rawlings in 1996. Here was Nana Akufo: “I call on members of the party [NPP] to embrace change in leadership of the party. Such changes are far from harming the fortunes of the party. Change improves the chances of political parties as a new face eventually means new ideas, new methods and new strategies…any candidate elected as the NPP's flag-bearer has already secured 30% of the total valid votes. Failure to garner the remaining 20% plus 1 means the candidate has failed, and therefore must be changed” (ref: Ghana Daily Graphic, October 8, 1998). If John Kufuor back then did not deserve to be nominated for the second consecutive time, why is it okay now for Nana Akufo-Addo to seek the party’s nomination the third consecutive time, having led NPP to two painful electoral defeats in 2008 and 2012? Well, it seems like Nana Akufo-Addo is getting ready to take NPP to the electoral slaughterhouse in 2016 all over again. Let the self-denials ignore the warnings

I know you said "Most religious people", which means not all religious people are small minded so I firmly place myself in the non-small minded religious people. However, I would like to clarify that being a narrow minded or small minded as you call it is not necessary a matter of religion, rather a lack of education (I am not talking, literacy here, I am talking about the issue at hand and the ability to analyze the issue and finding or devising solution to solve the issue). This kind of ability should be developed in our beloved country, Ghana and perfected (to include getting rid of selfishness, corruption, and developing teamwork that consist of capable individuals instead of illiterate party members). The most harmful weapon destroying our blessed country is the CORRUPTION among the people and especially among the leaders and so called ‘name it and claim it’ pastors in our nation. Most of these pastors are corrupt misusing the Scriptures for their selfish gain. Unfortunately most the church members of these false pastors, prophet, and teachers don’t have mind to study the Scriptures on their own, hence, falling prey to these false, selfish, greedy and evil preachers.

I choose to go this route, I choose this alternative and say, Ghana needs to massively vote the NDC gov't out, because the lack of competence, the lack of experience, the lack of vision, the mismanagement, the wanton corruption and looting, is unacceptable.
The "situation" is completely untenable and the Mahama NDC gov't needs to be voted out.
Solutions have been proffered however, we have a "yenti3 obiaaa" philosophy and policy undergirding the NDC gov't with disastrous consequences and the argument being made, is for an alternative, the Mahama NDC gov't needs to go, so Ghana does not slip into retrogression and stagnation in perpetuity.

Our weak currency must attrct investors for good returns. Mr. President, reduce taxes, encourage investors with the weak currency as a bait. Give concession and aggressively increase food production. Enforce low interest rates and slow down on spending. Hunt down corrupt people like Rawlings did in 1979 and give a life sentence for any form of corruption. Choose honest people from the Ghana Police Service and form a special anti-corruption unit which will make suspected dubious people give an account on of their riches. Set up special tribunals to judge thos cases. It was done in 1979 and it can be repeated. Make sure you are clean yourself.

The bad policies, poor decision-making coupled gov't's blatant lies about the true state of the economy and the incredibly noncharlant attitude of gov't regarding several obvious cases of corruption, and the apparent collapse of certains social interventions inherited by the gov't, are many reasons why people will continue to be pessimistic. Until there are bold, giant steps taken to kill the ills of white-collar thievery, putting square pegs in round holes in governance, there won't be value for money, and negative comments won't, in the least, abate.

All the "Preacher" is saying is the world economy is tough and instead of sitting on your "nyash" and expecting manna and quail from heaven, we should think positively, get our asses off the couch and work hard to grow the economy, with the help of the government helping with the necessary infra structure.

We are all suffering NOT because of the government but the general attitude of the Ghanaian, right from the government to the ordinary man.

CORRUPTION is killing every one in Ghana, and I bet you if Jesus is to come back to this world he may avoid Ghana because there is too much thievery every where; politicians,(MPs, assemblymen, Ministers) police, office workers, public and civil service, drivers , journalists, priests, GFA, referees, lawyers, judges, market women/men, mechanics(fitters), realtors,car salesmen, custom officers, etc etc etc yet we sit down and claim ONLY the government is corrupt. We all are. We are so dishonest it might even make Jesus unable to govern Ghana. Until we change our get rich quick attitude, no political party can solve Ghana's problems even if we drill a billion barrels of oil a day in Ghana to export.

Let us first examine ourselves critically, then start passing judgement on a pastor trying to speak the truth. He is not blunt enough to say we are all corrupt but some are more corrupt, but we should stay positive and work hard to achieve better results.

Any one who can dare tell me that both parties and their officials are not corrupt should cast the first stone I am ready to be pelted to death. Bring it on! Habba! Ghana! Ad3n!
