Five Thousand Pounds may be charged in countries that good industries with a decent employment record for their people. I don't see how that compares to Ghana where almost 50% of the youth including college graduates are unemployed. If anything, the government should encourage people to adopt instead of attempting to make it financially impossible just like they treat Ghanaians abroad who attempt to establish businesses back in Ghana. The corruption and greed must stop to enable development to take place.

Remember, it is money that the adoptive parent are going to use to take care of the children after adoption, so you take the money from them and the children suffer after they are being adopted.
